Locals Rally For Immigration Reform, Freedom Of Md. Man Facing Deportation

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A Maryland man who is facing deportation is getting support from the community in a big way.

On Monday, hundreds in Baltimore rallied downtown calling on immigration officials to release a man who’s been detained for several months.

Guillermo Recinos-Morales has been locked up since April.

Immigration advocates are upset because while he has been here illegally, they say this a man with no criminal record, whose only crime found a better life for himself and his family.

  2. He has no criminal record? So you think entering the USA illegally is not a crime.......?

  3. I hear what you're saying 12:36, but I'll make you a deal. We can either deport him or either Hillary Clinton or Jake Day. I'm good with whoever the people choose.

  4. He has been here illegally since 2005. That is almost twelve years and he has made no effort to become legal. Has he been working? Under what social security number? Has he been paying taxes? Under what social security number? If he hasn't been working and paying taxes, has he been on welfare, Medicaid, etc....? You know, the free housing, free phone, free everything else that this country likes to give away to people. I'm sure being here illegally is not his only crime. I couldn't read all of the article because Microsoft jumped in and said my computer was infected with a virus which caused me to leave without finishing the article.

  6. ICE is for the vast majority of so-called "undocumented immigrants", targeting the illegals here that have committed ANOTHER crime (the first, being here illegally). It's about *$@% time that they have been allowed to do that!

Did he file a tax return? If so how many dependants did he claim? How much did he get back from the taxes he paid, if paid any? How much did the Government give him back over and above what he supposedly paid? How much US tax dollars went back to his home country? How much of this embezzled money from the US tax payer has he repaid? Yes he is a criminal.

  8. He's been here long enough to have completed all of his citizenship priorities, and become a naturalized citizen.

    He failed to do so.

    Deport the criminal.

    It's really that simple.
