BALTIMORE —Authorities said illegal drug sales are increasingly done anonymously and from the safety and comfort of a laptop computer.
The dark web is contributing to the supply of fentanyl in Maryland. A few clicks on a computer can mean drugs from anywhere in the world to a doorstep in Maryland.
"Your market is as wide as connectivity," threat intelligence analyst CW Walker said.
Many days, Walker works in a part of the internet called the dark web.
"We can get to fentanyl and really any drug purchase in less than 30 seconds," Walker said.
