They were slow to respond. If it was in Delaware, they would have been there that night. I believe it is damage control because of these complaints on not reporting Maryland news either not at all or on a timely manner. This storm was serious and should have been reported right way like WBAL did. It's a shame you have to go to a Baltimore station to find out what is going on in your State!!! Many decisions come from the state house in Annapolis, but little to nothing is reported about this from WBOC or WMDT. I think WMDT does a better job on the local news, but we are still left in the dark concerning events and things that happen in Maryland Government. Do you know we also have a Maryland state fair, and local farmers promote their products and services there? Oh that's right, the fair is across the bay!
They don't go out and do investigative reporting so they have to milk stories, they have nothing else to report on. They are a complete waste of time as is WMDT.
WBOC has been a joke for a long, long time. They lost all their good investigative reporters because people inevitably want to move up to a higher yielding market for better pay. They are the initial step on the ladder career-wise. Problem with Draper is he's stopped replacing the former with competent people who can deliver news in a timely fashion. Milking an old story is just a way to fill up dead air. Better to do that than have simply dead air like WICO has been pulling as of late.
They need new reporters that also are allowed to dig into the daily news, not stay on the same subjects for months like the prison murder in Smyrna. There is far too much fluff and no substance.
They have nothing, even folks who scan the news and forward interesting stories, as so many of those stories don't fit the WBOC overlords' Liberal agendas.
Steve Hammond,,,what a joke...he is the main puppet at boc

ReplyDeleteGuess their drone force couldn't follow Rt 50 to the site of the damage.
WBOC is a joke--all they do is carry the water for their MSM liberal bosses. They are like a bunch of parrots repeating the lies of CBS FAKE NEWS.
ReplyDeleteWBOC also has Fox 21 too....just sayin.
ReplyDeleteHave they run out of Smyrna prison stories yet? They talked about that for months.
