A Viewer Writes: Wicomico Waste Disposal

With all the derogatory comments lately about our government workers, I am compelled to rate the Wicomico Waste Disposal office force with a AAA+ rating. With only 2 days' notice of the need for new permits, they are doing an excellent job of issuing permits with dispatch. One thing I discovered.... you do not need to have a new form IF your renewal information is the same as last year.

  1. Can you do it online or what ? It's looks cumbersome and back n forth emailing what's the deal ???

  2. The collectors of the Waste Management Fee certainly deserve an AAA+ rating issuing all those permits on such short notice. I’m curious as to why did the permit users only get a two day notice to renew? In my county we get a 45 day notice/bill - plus notice is in the local newspaper around 30 and 15 days for reminders and new user permits. If there was only a two day notice, someone in Waste Management fell down on the job.

  3. After years of leadership by idiots it will take a while to straighten the government out , Culver can and will do it. I spoke to a very nice person on the phone and received my permits the next day using a credit card.
Of course the entitlement people who are on welfare a food stamps will be crying the blues.

  4. @ 9:58 so now you can just call for a permit ? They don't need to see a registration ? I thought you could do it over the net ? I guess I'll have to schlep all the way over to the stinking landfill and get in line GEEZ !

  5. Per instructions from the county's website, you can't purchase online even though the Daily Times said you could. It also doesn't mention this year that you need not fill out a form if no changes from previous year. You may find that out if you called but it doesn't mention online
