A Viewer Writes: Is John Cannon An Idiot?
Cannon is worried about volunteers having to drive 10 to 15 minutes. UM HELLO!!! What the hell does he think the volunteers at the other volunteer stations do. Why is he NOT concerned about the COUNTY residents but only those in the city. Why isn't he doing anything about it taking 2 and 3 calls before an ambulance can get a driver. Yes the county pays for a paramedic but that does NO good if they don't have a driver. Parsonsburg and Pittsville share a paramedic. Willards and Powellville share a paramedic. How long does it take them to get from one station to the other and then wait for a driver?
John Cannon is definitely NOT an idiot. Whether or not he is corrupt is a different question.
ReplyDeleteCORRUPT!! JAKE DAY MUST BE threatening TO COME DOWN ON HIS DILAPIDATED RENTAL EMPIRE IF HE DOESN'T HELP HIM OUT. DAY IS A SNAKE PEOPLE
ReplyDeleteHuh?? Corruption and idiot don't go hand in hand? If someone is corrupt AND gets caught - sorry, that's an IDIOT!!!
ReplyDeleteQuestion is Cannon on the verge?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......
The cannon property regime is literally held together by bandages. Decades of doing just enough to keep properties habitable and now boy mayor is playing his ace in the whole. He has cannon by the bal**
ReplyDeleteBut it is okay when Delmar doesn't have enough help show up for an ambulance call, so they call Salisbury's fire house that is on Brown Street? I haven't heard any complaints when that has happened. Maybe because the fire departments work together, when help is needed.
ReplyDeleteWho cares sick of hearing about the crybaby firemen. If its so bad quit!!
ReplyDeleteYou said it grow up
DeleteThe county does not directly pay the Paramedic. Money is given to the county stations. Some stations have paramedics every day. Some have paramedics every other day. Some stations added emtb drivers 7a until 4p. Some alert for volunteer drivers. The county should ask why do we give all the stations the same funding yet there is no consistency across the board to the services being delivered.
ReplyDeleteYes, yes he is. Next question...
ReplyDeleteOther stations don't do that most volunteers live close to their respectful station. Now there may be a couple who live farther out but most do live close. To answer the other part of the question volunteers do t wish to ride the ambulance that's why it takes time to get a driver. Alert for a fire call and people come out of the woodwork.
ReplyDeleteNot many volunteers have interest in riding the ambulance cause it's a pain in the butt.
ReplyDeleteI got news for you my station has 20 members who live less than one mile from the station. Most live blocks from the station.
ReplyDeleteWicomico County gives funding to the stations to help pay for the paramedic. County does not pay the salary direct.
ReplyDeleteVolunteer stations are having to pay for ambulance drivers due to members not willing to drive anymore. Do t even think about asking one to do patient care that won't happen. Just a sign of the times.

Um... What station and who are the 20 members? I am sitting here listing to my radio and the volunteer stations get re-alerted over and over again until they scratch.
Station 3 Fruitand couldn't get a crew for debris in the road. Lucky for them it was near his house and he established command and told Central the station didn't have to respond. Um, that's not how it works.

Well, well, well. Don't let Jim Ireton or Jake Day see this, they might want to join. Wink, Wink!

That is exactly why EMS should be separate from the fire departments and ran entirely by the County.
Agreed
DeleteDon't the rest of the stations realize this paid per call is a bad thing? Think about it this is opening the door to paid per call funding to save the county money in the long run for the other stations and then pay Salisbury more and more!
ReplyDeleteCity struggled tonight
ReplyDeleteTo answer the question proposed, "Yes".
ReplyDeleteI'm hearing Jake Day and John Cannon is working in cahoots with James Yakahomo about removing the Winder Plaque off the Courthouse lawn. Three snakes in the grass.
ReplyDeleteWho wants to do medicaltech work on an ambulance in today's society, its nothing but non stop heroin overdoses. I'll pass
ReplyDeleteIs Cannon an idiot why do you even have to ask the question: Time to clear out Cannon, Fake Jake, Chief Duncan let's impeach them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
