Antibiotics and vitamin C could kill cancer cells

Vitamin C and antibiotics could be up to 100 times more effective at killing cancer cells than standard-of-care drugs, new research reveals.

Giving an antibiotic followed by vitamin C effectively starves cancer cells of their 'fuel', resulting in their death in the lab, a study found.

Vitamin C and the antibiotic given, known as doxycycline, are both relatively non-toxic and could therefore dramatically reduce the side effects of existing treatments, the researchers said.

  1. Many politicians are paid by the big chemical companies and have been for years. The Obama health care plan showed what they're all about. And it wasn't taking proper care of seniors by feeding them drugs that cause more harm than good.

  2. High blood levels of vitamin C are toxic to cancer cells, but NOT normal cells.

    This has been known for decades, but the chemotherapy business is MEGAbucks. They will not tolerate any interference.
