BALTIMORE (WBFF) -- A Project Baltimore investigation has found five Baltimore City high schools and one middle school do not have a single student proficient in the state tested subjects of math and English.
We sat down with a teen who attends one of those schools and has overcome incredible challenges to find success.
Navon Warren grew up in West Baltimore. He was three months old when his father was shot to death. Before his 18th birthday, he would lose two uncles and a classmate, all gunned down on the streets of Baltimore.

Father and uncles shot to death while doing public service projects for their churches?
ReplyDeleteThat's because many of that city's schools are nothing more then pre detention/prison centers. The absolute funny thing is it's all majority minorities schools and the powers that be are all democrats who are completely against school choice. The next funny thing is the majority of the minorities have been so dumbed down they can't see that they are still nothing but slaves and the democrats have never released them from their chains. They are slaves with the government being their masters. Until they wise up they will continue to wallow around in the cess pools of crime and poverty that are the inner cities.
ReplyDeleteSo true!
Delete"Editor’s Note: We spoke with the executive director of teaching and learning for Baltimore City Schools about this data. She told us some of those students might be considered proficient, even though they did not score a four or five on the state tests. Baltimore City Schools later told us that was an error in statement."
ReplyDeleteFor starters, try hiring a new executive director.
Nothing funny about this at all. In the end, taxpayers are the one's to foot the bill(S). Whether that's for jail time, food stamps, or crimes on society.
ReplyDeleteSad is what is truly is and yes HIRE a new executive director...if anyone would apply!
Classrooms are not conducive to learning it's more like a prison where inmates are in control.
ReplyDeleteWait until the government get control of health care thru single payer.
ReplyDeleteThere is no solution that won't be called racist.
ReplyDeleteNone.
Those schools will continue to flood society with adults with no reading or writing skills, or fear of authority or the police, and no respect for anyone or anything. Killing you for your cell phone would be just another thing they do along with victmizing OTHER black people, who ALSO can't do anything about it.
They are overwhelmingly black, inner city schools across the nation.
It probably won't end well for anyone.
Keep cheering.
Blacks continue to test way below Whites, Hispanics, Asians, that is a fact, not Racism.
ReplyDeleteSeems to me, the social experiment of trying to educate, and lift up the black race is a failure that has been failing for over 150 years.
The reason many black students dont score well on tests is because they simply dont care. Education is not an important part of their life. I observe them roaming the hallways during classes. They could care less about getting to class on time or even getting to class. When they finally are forced to be in class they have no intentions of doing anything even close to work. Many can't even read. They show hate and distain for other kids and teachers. And there is no support to do anything for or with them. Slap on the wrist. Our public school system is just another failed government run system. It will not get better they way it is run currently.
ReplyDelete6:39 is correct, Uncle Sam will provide for them.
