WICOMICO COUNTY 2017 TAX SALE

Salisbury, MD ... The Wicomico County 2017 Tax Sale is scheduled for Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 10:00 AM in Room 301 of the Government Office Building located at 125 North Division Street in Salisbury.

The County made the decision to forego a tax sale last year, exercising an option permitted by State Law. Instead, the County chose to inform citizens who were struggling to pay their taxes that they could participate in a payment plan. Citizens were also informed them of the homeowner's tax credit which is a potential option for tax relief. A large number of taxpayers did not know about these options to pay their taxes in partial payments or of the tax credits offered by State Department of Assessments and Taxation. By working with citizens, instead of sending their properties to tax sale, the County was able to bring in outstanding revenue while saving citizens the cost of the auction advertising and legal fees.

By State Law, the County must have a tax sale every two years at minimum. For the 2017 Tax Sale, the County chose to advertise in The Daily Record which fulfilled the obligation of the State Code. By making a change in advertising this tax sale, taxpayers were saved approximately $60,000 both this year and last. The properties for sale can also be found on the County's website atwww.wicomicocounty.org>. Any questions regarding the 2017 Tax Sale can be directed to the Finance Department at 410-548-5840.

Jake Day is killing the city.
And for what so he can build low income housing to revitalize downtown with nowhere for the people to park if they come
seems like Day isn't firing on all cylinders

  3. 902 guess the rule of thought would be DON"T BE DELINQUENT and find a way to pay your bills!

IF YOU CAN'T figure out a way for help!
IF YOU CAN'T ask for help!
IF YOU CAN'T explore other personal options!
IF YOU CAN'T then its time to figure out how you CAN!!!!
