Staff from Harley Hall wanted attention, they got it. Keep in mind, "entry" means these are only the people who came to Salisbury News to specifically view this article. Far more people viewed it in general.
The Administrator at Harley Hall, (according to one source) stated "when he finds out who started contacting Salisbury News they will be handled personally by him and will not have a job at Hartley".
They went on to say the State was there and saw first hand there are issues. "He's been seen coming to the hallway completely nude after being supervised. And he just laughs at us while he's standing there naked".
Clearly there are problems they have yet to get under control. The Worcester County Sheriff's Department has an Officer walking through the facility during the day shift but not the evening shift. Keep in mind, however, this is a private business that would require the facility to hire security and is not the responsibility of the Worcester County Sheriff's Department.
To Administrator at Hartley Hall - the public needs to know that this kind of nonsense goes on and YOU let it happen. The person who let Salisbury News know about this does not need to be fired, you do.

ReplyDeleteWow! He is going to fire them because they spoke out when he wouldn't do anything to protect his staff or other patients. Seems to me he is the one who deserves to be fired. Those nurses should be commended for all they do daily on top of putting their lives in danger to protect the lives of the other patients in the facilty.
ReplyDeleteAn Administrator who would do this proves their incompetency to run a nursing home or any facility that deals with seniors / medical conditions etc.. His license and anyone who agrees with him should be pulled ASAP.

DeleteDoesnt Hartley have a board of directors? This Crowley character needs to be put on administrative leave immediately. He's doing more harm than good trying to cover his tracks. This should be reported to the people who were there on Tuesday. He's coercing staff to lie on reports which last time I checked was fraud.
ReplyDeleteWhere is the people who have friends and family at Hartley? Shouldn't they be beating down doors to get their people removed from that facility? If my parents were there, I'd go pick them up and take them home until another place could be found for them. They're just sitting there waiting to be victiminized by either that crazy violent patient or Crowley.

Doesn't sound like Crowley is too bright. How can you say something is a lie to people who personally witnessed the event? Crowley you're digging a much deeper hole than you realize.

ReplyDeleteCrowley should've been fired on Tuesday. He's still there threatening employees and probably patients, too. Where is the justice for all concerned when it comes to idiots like that guy? He was fired from Berlin Nursing home for a reason, so why did Hartley ever hire him is just amazing! Don't people check references, google a person for news items before hiring them? Wouldn't have hired him if he was let go from another facility. Someone should look into the reason why he was fired.

Hartley Hall is in the jurisdiction of the Pocomoke PD. There office is very close by as a matter of fact.
Nobody mentioned that this patient stands nude in his room with the door open watching tv and yelling out "SHOOT HER, SHOOT HER". This is NOT false information. He gets a visitor daily, a woman. The door is shut while she is here. HOW CAN ANY OF US NURSES FEEL SAFE NOT KNOWING IF HE DID OBTAIN A WEAPON. We're all hoping that we will be able to go home after our shift and see our family. Every walk towards his hallway and his room I silently pray for Jesus to please watch over me any our patients. I don't know when or how this will end, I just want to know that we are safe.

ReplyDeleteWhy are people leaving their family members there jeopardizing their safety? There are plenty of other nearby facilities that don't tolerate such behavior and protect their residents and staff!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you 1033pm. Would've thought that nursing home would've been emptied out by now. There's no way in hell I'd leave any family member in a house of horror like that. No way in this world. Families should get their people out of there immediately.

Obviously, there was and freedom of speech does not apply on a private blog. If they don't like what you say it doesn't get published. Been there done that.
If it's that important to you reword it so it can be accepted.
