The hostility of activist students toward fundamental liberties like free speech has spilled over onto other central pillars of civilization — including the notion of truth:
In an open letter to outgoing Pomona College President David Oxtoby, a group of students from the Claremont Colleges assail the president for affirming Pomona’s commitment to free speech and demand that all five colleges “take action” against the conservative journalists on the staff of the Claremont Independent.
Hopefully, we have not reached the firing squad stage of leftism yet. But if current trends continue, it is only a matter of time until that is what they mean by “action.”
The letter, written by three self-identified Black students at Pomona College, is a response to an April 7 email from President Oxtoby in which he reiterated the college’s commitment to “the exercise of free speech and academic freedom” in the aftermath of protests that shut downa scheduled appearance by an invited speaker, scholar and Black Lives Matter critic Heather Mac Donald, on April 6.
Here’s what the moonbats think of the free speech that our forefathers fought so hard to secure:

ReplyDeleteThis article comes from a blog. Blogs are good for a number of reasons but they do have the right to censer and for that reason are not legitimate news sources.
ReplyDelete7:34, You are right in the sense that we do "censer". There are multiple reasons for such. Some of the main reasons are, opposite parties attempt to hijack the article with lies and they are rejected. Many are off topic. Many curse. Many are extremely racist. It amazes me just how many times a day someone who opposes anything we put out there try to get those multiple, (per day) comments through so they can run back to their blog and call us racist or whatever. It's more then a full time job just to moderate many of these jackasses but it seems we simply have to babysit a select hand full of people, year after year. Perhaps one day they'll come to realize just how mental they are. Then there's the hilarious spam file. We go in there every so often and see all of the jackasses who have been spammed and see the hateful stuff they continue to try to get published but go right into spam automatically.
ReplyDeleteSo there it is. We will not let people hijack our site and if you don't like it, well, go somewhere else. It really is that simple.
