Police agencies are being dispatched to 1011 Tuscola Ave in the area of Seminole Blvd. People have called Wicomico Central to advise several shots were fired. Wicomico Central has advised that at least one person has been shot possibly two.
If Wicomico County Sheriff's Department is responding it's outside city limits. I damn forsure don't pay city property taxes because i live right down the street. I really didn't Here anything last night, I must of been in a deep sleep.
The "Reservation" has been considered part of Salisbury since the 1970's so your "technically" means nothing in the terms of crime. Drive over there and see if you can tell where the city limits end! The only reason the city has not annexed it it is because of the cost it would be to maintain any part of it. That area is the slumlords paradise!
I posted the below comment on the below article - and when I went back to Da'mares FB page he deleted the "conversation" so that it no longer exists. I guess it didn't fit the government controlled fake news. He must have a dedicated employee that trolls Sbynews.
Anonymous said... This from his FB page - "you have to separate the noise from the meaningful news". To summarize - we don't tell the truth because we don't feel it is meaningful news. This boy couldn't admit the truth if it smacked him. It is not very meaningful to be a liar and deny-er, and only approved government controlled speech is meaningful!
Jacob Day We feel like Salisbury is always getting positive coverage. If you listen for the important, game-changing things and drown out the noise, it's mostly good news. March 21 at 9:32pm
Ann Marie Nolan Not sure I'd agree. The reporting is not always positive. The press here is not living up to what Wicomico County citizens need and deserve. Good or bad the truth is NOT always told...with all due respect, your honor. I want nothing more than to see our community grow and thrive and under your leadership I honestly believe we can achieve greatness. March 21 at 9:44pm
Jacob Day I appreciate that - and there is always bad news in the world, you have to separate the noise from the meaningful news. But yes, more GOOD news should be covered! March 21 at 9:45pm March 29, 2017 at 7:23 PM
I feel you have made big strides especially with the Opioid epidemic. Salisbury has big problems to be a small town. But you inheredited a mess when you became Mayor! I just hope you are given the resources you need to turn things around. But the big problem is Socio economic...and you can only do so much. But Bless you for trying!
10:27 AM It shows inexperience, immaturity and deceit. If someone is that immature as to delete a fb thread, they are deceitful enough to lie about more important issues.
I can't imagine the chaos in his office over ANOTHER shooting and how they are going to spin that.
Anonymous Anonymous said... Please do tell me how the Mayor is responsible for these shootings.

He probably isn't responsible (at all) for this particular shooting, however he IS responsible for the continuation of these shootings and the assorted OTHER crimes committed in da'bury under his watch, without doing enough to combat them, prosecute those that occur and PREVENT others from occuring.
He, along with city council and the chief of police should be doing everything possible to prevent and punish those that do commit these crimes and other crimes as well.
At least that is what I think their respective jobs should entail.
And the citizens too can do more. Instead of complaining so much, without contributing anything helpful to stop what they can. If you think you see something not right, pick up the phone and call 911 or the local police number if you have it.
Don't just come on here and Facebook saying you saw this or that without alerting the proper authorities to the same.
Whether anything is done after you report such things is out of your hands. At least keep reporting them. It can't be addressed if those in charge are unaware of it.
It's going to take a community wide effort to get this area safer and better habitual for the good citizens.

Yeah, you probably have a good point there. I can understand not sharing anything if an ongoing investigation is being conducted but after enough time, and after arrests? have been made, they should inform the citizenry of some things. At the very least it would improve police-community relations. Instead of this "we don't understand what police do" nonsense and "it's not the same as we see on tv" bs.
All that does is insult our intelligence and distance themselves further from the community.
It's already been proven they don't hire people over a certain intelligence threshold so their insinuations of their "higher intelligence" doesn't hold water to begin with.
My advice to police would be to stop being so secretive, pretending you know more than the average person, (we can see right through that anyway)stop being aloof, and just do your job as best as you can and don't expect to be called a 'hero' every time yu put on your uniform.
You are appreciated. But do you really need to be told that every single time you meet someone? I appreciate my doctors but I don't tell them that at every visit.
It's gang members shooting ex gang members, why is everyone upset about it? Let them have at it... this guy just got outta jail and won't even give the Police info on the people trying to kill him. Let them all shoot each other
Three different incidents for "shots fired" in 3 different locations Salisbury with 2 different victims.
ReplyDeleteButt, Butt, Butt Jake Day told me crime is down in da 'Ghetto... I mean da 'Bury.

Who said it was... Dumba$$!
Technically crime outside the municipal limits is due to the thugs that live in Salisbury's Municipal Limits.
GET OUT OF HERE, I don't believe this not in Salisbury!
