BREAKING: US drops LARGEST non-nuclear bomb in combat for FIRST time

THE United States has dropped a Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb – the largest non-nuclear weapon in its arsenal – on an ISIS tunnel target in Afghanistan.

The bomb – twice the size of the nuke dropped on Hiroshima – was dropped on Afghanistan's Nangarhar province, the Pentagon has confirmed.

The blast radius is believed to be over 300 meters and the weapon is described as "the mother of all bombs".

It is the very first time the weapon has been used in combat and a huge statement that Trump plans to deliver on his promise to "wipe ISIS off the face of the Earth".

The bomb was dropped by an MC-130 aircraft, operated by Air Force Special Operations Command.

The military is currently assessing the damage.

  1. 300 meters? Have we switched to the metric system?

    1. The military uses metric for most things related to distance...

  2. It's about 15 years too late, could have taken out Osama bin-Hiden and created some beautiful soccer and poppy fields on the tops of those mountains. Please, Mr. President, drop some more and clear a wide path for our troops to drive through. Entomb them where they're hiding so that we don't have to search for them and kill them one at a time.

Finally, a president that will actually unleash the fury. It's about time.

  7. Those dollars were spent years ago and if they bombs aren't used the money doesn't get refunded. Drop'em.

  8. Bomb isn't nearly twice the size of the little boy. Little boy was 15 kilo-tons of TNT, GBU 43 (the name of this thing) is 11 tons. Gross misrepresentation that is being corrected all over the internet right now

    1. 3:15 there are referring to the physical size of the device. Not the yield.

  11. 309 PM: No, I'm not really concerned with civilians in this instance since they are probably harboring ISIS, or hopefully this bunch is WASWAS, to begin with. There are such things as "Casualties of War" and while though it is bad, it does happen. Just look at Dresden, Germany in WWII or how about the people of Nagasaki or Hiroshima, thousands of civilians were killed. So call me a monster or someone who does not have a heart or downright evil if you'd like.

All that I know is that if this act helps in killing ISIS then a few "civilians" being killed along the way simply means that those civilians were too close to ISIS. The MOAB probably sounded like a lion roaring on the Serengeti and scared the living hell out of everyone within earshot. This is exactly what has been needed for 15 years.

The President is keeping his word and going after those savages so that more innocent people are not killed en masse by these perverted bastards.

  13. So you're trying to tell ma that former President Obama's strategy of warning the enemy where we will be attacking hours in advance and avoiding any vehicles wasn't working?

  15. This bomb had been moved into the area under the Obama administration. The same general has had the option to use it when he felt needed.

  18. Another 16 million dollars wasted. While we wait for what we voted for. Affordable health care with no preexisting conditions or tax on the older Americans.
The delay makes older Americans want a single payer system.

not a 16 million dollar bomb dropped to kill 36 isis rebels.

  19. 12:45 One of the reasons I voted for Trump was his promise to do something about Isis and health care. As far as Isis goes I'm glad he dropped that damn bomb that btw was already paid for years ago. As far as health care goes....nothing is being done about that because of your democrats. You kno the ones you probably voted for. 😏
