Bill Nye Considers 'Climate Impact' Tax on Large Families

Scientist Bill Nye and a panelist on his Netflix show discussed penalizing families for having "extra kids" because of their claimed effect on climate change.

According to The Daily Caller, Tuesday's episode of "Bill Nye Saves The Earth" included a segment that was essentially about population control.

"Should we have policies that penalize people for having extra kids in the developed world?" Nye asked Travis Rieder, an academic at Johns Hopkins University.

  4. Who decided that Bill Nye was some kind of scientist? He has a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, nothing more. He was hired for that TV show simply because he looked nerdy, not because of his knowledge or lack thereof.

  5. Well I think its a good idea. Just think how much money the taxpayers will be saving from not having to pay for all of the welfare recipients and all of the other government handouts. Because if you look , certain races are having about 10 kids per family. More often than not, there isnt a father in the picture,and you already know that those mamas aren't working! So thats a whole lot of money with just one Family!

  6. 12:22 you overlooked one simple fact. The welfare mommas have no money of their own, so they pay no taxes. The only one this will actually effect are the Amish, Mennonites, and Catholics.
