Common painkillers, including ibuprofen, increase a person’s risk of cardiac arrest by a third, experts have warned.
The drugs should not be sold in supermarkets or petrol stations, and should only be available on prescription, they said.
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) as a group were linked to a 31 percent increased risk of cardiac arrest.
But, ibuprofen – the most common NSAID – increased that risk by a staggering 50 percent.

Don't know of anyone yet who's had a heart attack from taking Ibuprofen.
ReplyDeleteIt's been my pain reliever of choice for as long as its been on the market. Taking too much of any pain reliever for too long is/or can be damaging to the liver and/or kidneys..... just common sense. Take in moderation only when really needed.
9:14 I have Celebrex for my pain but it is hell on the guts so I just take OTC ibuprofen.
