You're right 8:01 AM. I hated driving a big truck or bus through the tunnel and encounter another tractor-trailer coming from the other direction. Makes you pucker right up!
To quote Sen. Elizabeth "Pocahontas" Warren: "Let me be perfectly clear". I was never concerned about the height or width of my vehicle and being able to fit in the tunnel. What I was referring to is that even though you know that both vehicles will fit in the tunnel, it is still a bit unnerving due to the close proximity. I would think that this would be a bad time to get a muscle spasm or drop your smoke in your lap (I don't smoke).
What's the big deal. Looks like about 6". That's well withing the clearance limit.

Yeah, what's the big deal! 6" is plenty, atleast that's what my wife tells me!
DeleteThat's why there are no ceiling fans there!
ReplyDeleteVery scary! I have actually seen this in the Chesapeake Bay Bridge tunnel. Two way traffic and no where to go!
ReplyDeleteUmm 8:01. That is the CBBT.

ReplyDeleteDumb read the signs with the height limit, and know your truck's height common sense.
ReplyDeleteseems to me there could have been a problem starting into or coming out of the tunnel, depending on whether it was a steep grade or not.
