The CNN gremlins got the last laugh after Bernie Sanders sarcastically called the network “fake news” on air Friday night.
Sanders was appearing on Erin Burnett OutFront last night discussing — what else — Donald Trump’s supposed relationship with Russia.
After playing a clip of the president saying he was unaware of discussions his National Security Advisor reportedly had with the adversary, Sanders was asked if it was a problem and he said, “Well, I don’t know. Maybe he was watching CNN fake news. What do you think?” he said with the smirk, apparently attempting to crack a joke.
