In recent years Chrysler Jeep has been having some real quality issues with their cars and trucks. I would wait and see want kind of issues that may arise before purchasing this vehicle. As a rule, you should never buy an introductory Vehicle. That also goes for electronic devices like Apple or Samsung. There are usually problems or bugs to work out. I would wait for Consumer Reports or Jd Power to publish their reports before considering a large investment like this.
Back in the 70's a really decent old fellow used to drive his brand new Jeep "station wagon" (I guess that's what they called them) out to the local diner for coffee. The running joke was "Are you gonna drive it or tow it back home today Josh"? It was pretty much a 50/50 event. Never wanted a Jeep after seeing that so many times.
The worst vehicle I've ever driven was a Jeep Patriot. It was like a cardboard box filled with bricks, cheap plastic throughout with backwards window controls and awkward light/wiper controls, and couldn't make it up the hump bridge by Tastee-Freez if it rained.
I like it
