Sen. Chris Coons (D., Del.) agreed with MSNBC's Katy Tur on Wednesday that Senate Democrats could hold the debt ceiling as hostage in order to convince Republicans to investigate former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.
Tur asked Coons what Democrats could do as they are in the minority in both houses of Congress.
Coons said he hoped they would get a subpoena against Flynn, and if an investigation could not move forward they would look towards having a private investigation outside of Congress.

Why don't those idiot Democrats stop beating a dead horse and move on to the serious business of running this country?
ReplyDeleteI guess they can go ahead and do that-- hold it hostage.
ReplyDeleteConservatives can say "OK. You're right. No more debt increase." and start cutting the superfluous programs.
Or conservatives can simply google the last debt-ceiling crisis and collect all the railing and shouting that the dems did, and fire that stuff right back at them-- use their own words and soundbites.
Bring it on, Coons.
Yes, and where was the angst when Flynn's predecessor, Susan Rice, lied to the American people about Benghazi? Talk about fake news, these democrats are hypocrites and should not be taken seriously.
ReplyDeleteThe conservatives need to make sure that the dumbocrats take complete responsibility for their actions...meaning that McConnell and Ryan need to find their spinal columns and kahunas for use on this occasion!
