Caretaker performed sexy dance on 100-year-old with dementia

SANDUSKY, Ohio (AP) - A caretaker at an assisted living center who police say was filmed performing a sexually provocative dance on a 100-year-old resident was doing it as a prank and trying to make the man feel good, her attorney said.

Brittany Fultz, 26, pleaded not guilty to gross sexual imposition Tuesday. Police said she showed her breasts and buttocks while she danced in front of and on the man in December.

Investigators said the man has dementia, but Fultz's attorney said the resident could have told her to stop but didn't.

  2. I just saw this story on fb. Can someone explain to me what the real problem is with this? Was the man upset by this? Was he hurt? Did he scream and shout, ( in a bad way?) I just don't understand what the big deal is. Unless it was done against his will and had to be forced to watch her.....?

  6. Why does everyone think the police need to be in on things. You see nothing in here where the gentleman complained. You don't know, he may have requested the dance and she willingly acted on his request. People tie up our court system for the most frivolous things, that are none of their business. Maybe it could help tame down his dementia. Perhaps the ole boy frequented "Gentleman Clubs" earlier in life and offered her a piece of change. Good for them both.

  17. Great so just to let everyone know dementia patient have no ability to distinguish between right and wrong. They also lack the ability to defend themselves due to their mental incapacity. So for those that think this is ok tell me what is the difference then with doing this to a child who also has the same limitations. People are place in a moral responsibility to take care of these people not take advantage of them. If you condone this then you must also condone child abuse.

  18. To 12:13- your ignorance is undeniable. Why bring children into this scenario? Where did they come from? They have nothing to do with this situation at all. This is a man and with or without dimentia I guarantee he enjoyed it as would 99% of men. When I'm 100 and starting to slide please hire this young lady to revive my soul! Thanks

oh horseshit. if ur in healthcare on the shore, ur not in much. this whole area is too dang conservative and too nosy. he was in no danger and he was being cared for, quite well I might add. just because someone is in a nursing home, or a hospital for that matter, the patient still has rights. too many in this area are not aware of this or ignore it. I had to remind a nurse and her two supervisors one night at prmc.

nurses and doctors may get a certificate from one of the colleges around here that spit out a class every so often but that doesn't mean you are a professional. I have seen a lot of them that don't belong in the health field. it takes a special type of person with a special kind of heart. Sadly a lot around here have neither.

and the public at large are too naive, conservative and ignorant to stand up for themselves and hold these corporate doctors and nurses accountable. when you have emt's wearing tee shirts that say 'it's my job to save ur ass, not kiss it', you know something is wrong with the mentality.

Unless that man complained, he has every right to have a lap dance as any other man. It's not your job to control how he lives his life and especially the short time he may have left. So get off your high horse and stop pretending you some kind of nurse nightingale or some crap. You people are there to assist others in their health needs and general well being, not censor or control their actions.

God, you people piss me off.
