WBOC "Delmarva's Fake News Leader"
Let's face it with REALITY. Do you people remember all those broadcasts where WBOC bragged about the NEW system they were using that would deliver far better results and even graphics? Well, as usual, not a damn thing has changed.
Many employers saw the stats from Friday night and put out the call, COME TO WORK.
Thank God Wicomico and Worcester County no longer depend on WBOC's forecasts, that's a fact.
Isn't it interesting how they used Mike Lichniak, (sp?) tonight, while Dan Satterfield is nowhere to be found, AGAIN. Mike had to bow his head and admit they just didn't get it right.
It would be kind of nice if he were never found (no foul play insinuated) so we could get a new weather guy. Just walk away Dan, j-u-s-t walk a-w-a-y!
ReplyDeleteDan Satterfield is a know it all clown! Fire Dan Satterfield!
ReplyDeleteIf I did my job as poorly as he does his, I'd be fired. Period.
ReplyDeleteUh, the other forecasters got it right?
ReplyDeleteDelmar weather was dead on again.
ReplyDeleteYou can have the best equipment, mankind makes , if you have a know it all fool using it then look at what we get ,thanks for a nothing Dan. Choose a different occupation! Mcdonalds is hiring!
ReplyDeleteDan said that it would be a major snow event early on and I was shocked. He then backed away from those words and said he thought it would be heavy. I think he really knows what is going on but backs away because of all the criticism. I told my girlfriend to come and visit because I listened to the original lower count. I should have paid attention when Dan said that it would be a major event. Either way....we are having a great weekend and she is stuck here another day. Win...win.
ReplyDeleteAwww 9:49. Glad you and your girlfriend are having a great time.
ReplyDelete9:49 Sounds like plan b.
ReplyDeleteGive the guy a break.
ReplyDeleteWhy don't all of you post what you do for a living and a copy of your last performance review?
Maybe after all is said and done, Dan will be looking for work at another unheard of station. Maybe he will be a professor at some community college, he might finally retire since he is turning 65 this year.
ReplyDeleteMy son left on Friday to attend a church youth group retreat in OC. Based on Dan's forecast on only 4 to 6 inches of snow, he and the other youth leaders at my church as well as other churches went ahead and left. I begged him to reconsider and not believe this forecast, but he is 23 and an adult, so I couldn't not keep him from going.
ReplyDeleteHe may be staying an extra day at the hotel. If something happens to him or the young people on this trip, I will hold you Dan personally responsible for your BS low impact forecast!
Don't you realize, that you can put other peoples lives in danger based on your "expert" opinion of the weather?
I will be praying for my son's safe return and the young people who attended this youth retreat. I personally think you should be fired. You are incompetent and you are putting peoples lives in jeopardy. May you live with this!
11:47, so why did they go with the 4-6 inch forecast? Snow over 2-3 inches shuts this area down anyway...
ReplyDelete@7:57 PM. That's just wrong, wishing he were never found? You need to go to nice school. Lol
ReplyDelete11:47, if you're son is 23, he makes his own decisions as an adult. Although if he's still living with you, he's gotta play by your rules...

ReplyDeleteReality check:
We're talking about weather; it's variable whether you like it or acknowledge it or not.
We're all using keyboards to weigh in here. Those same keyboards can take to to weatherunderground (my choice), accuweather or weatherchannel as a starting point.
The TV guys and gals provide a forecast; it's not a product. If your quarter pounder doesn't weigh 4 ounces pre-cooked you might have a beef (joke). If you get too much or too little snow take it up with Ma Nature.
And just like you, I ended up with more to clear than I anticipated.
11:47 PM
ReplyDeleteAre you always this dramatic? It's only snow, I think your 23 yr old son can handle it
