THIS IS HUGE! NATIONAL Conceal Carry Reciprocity Is OFFICIALLY In The Works!

Not every state has identical laws when it comes to the Second Amendment and concealed carry, despite a concealed carry permit being a legitimate legal document.

Starting today, however, we have hope that national concealed carry reciprocity will soon be the law of the land, allowing you to concealed carry in any state in the nation that also allows concealed carry, provided you follow the laws of that state.

From The Federalist Papers Project:

Yesterday was a big opening day for the 115th Congress. Sen. Ted Cruz made good on his word to introduce an amendment regarding Congressional term limits, and now Rep. Richard Hudson (R-NC) introduced a huge piece of legislation: national concealed carry reciprocity.

Hudson’s office released a summary of the groundbreaking legislation:

Rep. Hudson’s bill, which is supported by major pro-Second Amendment groups, would allow people with a state-issued concealed carry license or permit to conceal a handgun in any other state that allows concealed carry, as long as the permit holder follows the laws of that state. It also allows residents of Constitutional carry states the ability to carry in other states that recognize their own resident’s right to concealed carry.

  6. If you are a MD resident, you will need a MD permit to carry in MD. Good luck with that. Residents of other states with a carry permit would be allowed to carry in MD.

  10. 1:38. you are correct, but you dont understand the bill

the bill gives people the right to carry in any state, if they can legally carry in tier state.

so to take advantage you would first need a permit from md
    and that is the problem

this bill does not seek to force states to issue permits, just accept what other states requires from thier citizens

imagine if you del or virginia did not accept your md drivers license

  11. I'm going to apply for a CC permit and if I don't get it I will carry any way, I am getting pretty old and can't defend myself any other way.

  12. Go ahead.....keep asking PERMISSION to exercise your rights.
    LOL.
    My rights are God given.
No height challenged Gestapo agent gets to tell me whether or not HE thinks I can carry a gun. No government lackey will tell me which rights I can use and which ones he doesn't like or think I should do without.
    Carry a gun.
And whomever tries take it gets 2 rounds in the face. Or chest. But they will get dropped. I'm not looking for trouble, but I ain't putting up with any of it, either.
    "....shall not be infringed."
I can't be the only one who understands what that phrase says........

  13. I believe it will force Maryland to relax and issue constitutional Concealed Carry Permits more easily for Maryland residents. Since citizens from other states will be allowed to protect themselves, marylanders however will still be denied that right.!! Will be a valid legal point to challenge the current laws in Maryland.

  14. it is already a law and has been for over 100 years. It's called the second amendment and it SHALL NOT be infringed.

good for you. I have been doing exactly that for years. And I don't want any trouble with cops either BUT, I will not be disarmed, I do NOT have to talk to any cop, I do not have to show I.D. to a cop, and if I am not suspected of any crime he has no right to detain or question me.

Know you rights people, AND EXERCISE them.
