Members of a SoulCycle were told they could have been exposed to meningitis after a healthy father who frequently attended classes died from the bacterial infection.
Marriage and family therapist Sevin Philips, 48, of San Rafael, California, passed away unexpectedly on January 7 after he was infected with meningococcal meningitis.
The father-of-one visited the trendy spinning studio in Larkspur, California, a few days before his death.
Health officials are now investigating, and notified nearly 200 riders on Friday that they were at risk of contracting the infection as a result.
SoulCycle employees were also advised to do a 'deep clean' of their fitness suites in a bid to eradicate any risks.
But the company - which is popular with A-list celebrities - insisted he was not infected during a class.
