Chasity Parker was too scared to testify against her boyfriend in one of two murder cases against him that fell apart.
Then Steven Taquan Williams murdered her.
Williams, 24, of the 1000 block of Norchester Ave., didn’t beat that charge. He was sentenced Friday to 50 years in prison for gunning down Parker, 21, and stealing the gun he used to kill her.
He shot her at least six times on July 28, 2015, as she hid in a linen closet in the 3300 block of Kimball Terrace. She’d recently moved to her great-grandmother’s apartment to help take care of her.
Williams pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and three gun charges in September. In a separate case, he pleaded guilty to robbery and a gun charge. In exchange, prosecutor Charlotte Purkey agreed to cap his sentence at 50 years.

We have our work cut out in the future to rid our country of these animals.
ReplyDeleteThe police will not have their hands tied as in the past obama administration.
The lawyers will yell for help and will be silenced by the truth. It will take years , but it will come. These thugs as you call them belong in hell , the death penalty will be establish again , we don't need a culture like this .
Not enough new prisons being built thanks to Obama and Dick Holder.

ReplyDeletenor do we want one.
I feel that it is time to reduce the amount of time that a prisoner sits on death row and to make the "carrying out of the sentence" more efficient. Maybe we need a special appeals court just for these cases so that once the prisoner gets their three strikes that it is immediately off to the chamber and then to a pine box. This thug deserves to die!
ReplyDeleteJust my two cents.
Well here we go again, work them at hard labor until their death date arrives then execute them. If the hard labor is hard enough they may die or wish they were dead. Either way they suffer and that's what punishment is supposed to do make those bastards suffer.
