This Saturday, my family and I will join thousands at the Women’s March on Washington. I invite you and your family to join us. Together, we will stand with millions around the world to raise our voices against the dangerous politics and policies of Donald Trump.
We march -- peacefully -- for women’s rights, LGBT rights, immigrant rights, disability rights, workers’ rights, and the right for all Americans to practice their faith freely without worry.
Now is not time to watch, idly as our nation suffers. Now is the time to stand up and to defend our health care, protect our new American neighbors, and demand action on climate change!
Time: 9:30 am EST on Saturday, January 21st, 2017
Location: Maryland Avenue entrance of the National Museum of the American Indian. Maryland Ave SW & Independence Ave SW, Washington, DC 20560
Directions: We will not be able to provide transportation to the event. Parking is very limited. We encourage you to take the DC Metrorail to Federal Center SW station on the blue, orange, and silver lines, then walk to the meeting location. Look for the blue and red O’Malley signs.
Instructions: Watch this video created by the event organizers. For more questions, visit the official site.
If you cannot join us in D.C., you can still support us by:
Donating to help cover the costs of organizing our contingent
Joining one of 600+ Sister Marches taking place across the globe.
Resistance is made of belief. And I believe with all my heart -- our country and our values are worth fighting for!
Thanks for all you do.
Martin
*Note: if you agree to participate in the March, you agree to the terms:
By choosing to attend this event, you are acknowledging the risks involved, and you are committing to participate nonviolently and in accordance with the law, and to work to de-escalate confrontations with Trump supporters or others.
You agree (i) not to engage in any act of violence or violation of any applicable law (ii) to obey the orders of authorized event marshals and law enforcement authorities (iii) that O’Say Can You See PAC will not be responsible to any injury or damage to your person or property resulting from or occurring in the course of your participating in the Event; and you agree to release and forever hold harmless Martin O’Malley, O’Say Can You See PAC and their respective employees and volunteers from liability for any such injury or damage.
Read between the lines. What O'Malley is really saying is, "HEY! I'M OVER HERE! WHY ISN'T ANYBODY PAYING ANY ATTENTION TO ME ANYMORE!?
