DeleteHe is stuck at a red light with the bike tipped to the left cant get it balanced lol
Delete😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
DeleteYou don't have to worry about Mike Lewis's skills on a Harley he is a great rider
DeleteYeah he has been riding WCSO into the mud for years.
DeleteHow is that crime working out Mayor Day ?
ReplyDeleteThey get to carry and we don't.....
ReplyDeleteAsk Gov Hogan.
DeleteSomeone is really commenting about the mayor following a shooting? You have to be kidding. Someone got shot. It's not about politicians - that's about people.
ReplyDeleteBc he didnt fire the police chief and cops are leaving and the police Chief is WEAK on crime hence the huge spike in da.bury fool.
DeleteMike Lewis is awesome and so is Mayor Day. Those who commented above-I ask you what have you done for your community lately?
ReplyDeleteThanks obama.
DeleteBoth are unemployed. Sorry, no new job openings yet.
ReplyDeleteLet's see I stayed in my home tonight so I wouldn't become another statistic and ruin the fake fascade of how salisbury is such a great prospering little town, how's that?

You obviously don't know Jake Day or maybe you do. Either way you are too stupid to see that he is a fraud!

best statement of the year!
Why is the paid fire engine crew from Station 16 on Cypress Street dispatched to that call when the Station 2 volunteer firemen are across the street? who from the county authorized this dispatching?
ReplyDeleteIf the station 2 volunteers actually got out maybe they would be called.
DeleteWhy is a fire engine crew responding on this shooting call anyway? Is there some kind of fire somewhere?
ReplyDeleteIt's called a medical assist. Believe it or not but a paramedic and EMT can't handle every medical/trauma scene by themselves. It was reported that one of the patients was in trauma arrest. Without a Lucas automated compressions device, an arrest requires 3 people; 1 to secure the airway and provide ventilations, 1 to perform compressions, and 1 to manage the cardiac monitor/defibrillator, establish IV access, and push meds. Not to mention the fact that there were 2 patients shot.
DeleteButt, Butt, Butt I thought crime was down in da 'Bury. At least that is what Jim Liarton and Fake Jake Day keep claiming. Fake Jake will even go so far as to challenge you on Facebook about it and call you a Troll if you don't agree with that idiot!
ReplyDeleteOh wait! Jake Day wants the taxpayers to now give him a full time salary for being the mayor? Jake Day you knew you were getting part time pay when you took this job and now that you are the Mare I don't feel any safer.
ReplyDeleteJake cant do the job PT what makes you think he cam do it FT LOL.
DeleteFire dept always responds to the church st area to wash away all the blood
ReplyDeleteGive them more ammo...that whole area needs to be scaled down. Ammo is much cheaper than spending our tax dollars on LE or locking them up.
ReplyDeleteThat is the 2nd murder in about a year within a block of each other. I remember years ago - to great fanfare - a police substation was opened on Church Street. Another was located on Smith Street. Neither did any good so the idea of "community policing" has been (no pun intended) shot to hell.
ReplyDeleteThen there was an effort to combine patrol officers with probation officers to make "house calls" on high risk offenders (whatever that means) and that failed. Policing in areas of gangs and drugs will not work. Incarceration will work. It will help protect me and my family. I would rather foot the bill of $18,000 annually to lock people up in order to "buy" some piece of mind and safety in our community. Look at all that crap last night from Malls throughout America. Until the African American community leaders and pastors can be strong enough to de-thug-a-tize a town, we are all going down the drain. As much as I support right to carry laws in Maryland I am not sure that's going to work either. I guess I don't have an answer. God help us all.
Go to a city council meeting amd call out the chief.
DeleteYES, IVE BEEN TRYING TO GET INFO ABOUT THAT SUB STATION ON CHURCH STREET. Is it ever open??? How can crime be happening right outside those windows??
DeleteHow would it help anything if the mayor's office reported every crime that occurs in Salisbury? There is a select group on this blog thatconsistantly push this topic. So explain how reporting all crime would benefit the community.
ReplyDeleteMaybe start with the notion that the citizenry that pays for the city administration has a right to know from those that are accountable to them.
DeleteThat's it?
DeleteThis tragedy comes down to income inequality....okay before all of you burn me at the stake with comments. I'm kidding, I'm. Not a liberal.
ReplyDelete" Until the African American community leaders and pastors can be strong enough to de-thug-a-tize a town "
ReplyDeleteHmm maybe it should be the parents responsibility to raise their thugs and not everyone else's.
Until the AA community says, enough, nothing will change.
Agreed. Well said
Delete7:03 AM - Used to be in the local paper every day. Journalist used to go down to the station and report on the police blotter.
ReplyDeleteI fail to understand how putting your head in the sand helps either.
Folks are more proactive when they know something is going on in their community.
If I know there are break in's in my neighborhood, all the neighbors are informed and watching out. That way we get to catch the perp. Keep it silent and his misdeeds go on longer than need be.
The Mayor and his lies are a bad joke on his community, but then we know he only cares about his political aspirations and doesnt give a fart about the citizens he is keeping in the dark
"...So explain how reporting all crime would benefit the community...."
ReplyDeleteHow about the fact that it alerts the general public as to which neighborhoods are unsafe to travel, for starters.
7:03 AM = politician.
ReplyDeleteLol! Hardly. I just want to hear from these couch commanders that talk the talk but don't walk the walk. AND it's also interesting to get multiple options on this topic. (a lot of hate here on this blog. Lol!)
DeleteI agree with 652, more ammo and guns on church st., anyone wishing to donate to this cause should drop off unwanted pistols and ammo in front of the store at Naylor and church and let them get after it. time to thin out the herd.
ReplyDelete8:32 sounds like a bloated big mouth...Have another beer and a chicken wing fat boy.
ReplyDeleteTroll
DeleteMike Lewis can't see over the handle bars. haha
ReplyDeleteThis blood shed should be on the hands of Jake Day, city council and the incompetent Chief. Everyone needs to remember this when these fools come back up for election. Jake again going into a new year has failed to do anything with SPD and the city council has failed to discuss or push a change. It is only going to get worse people. Demand the change at SPD. Someone needs to gather the people and attend a city council meeting and demand answers. This is the only way change will happen. Thanks Jake for not honoring your word of fixing SPD when you were campaigning. You have big problems there and why do you refuse to fix it? This will become your ultimate demise at your next Mayor run. The people will not forget and to fix months before your election is being a coward. As a military man, grow a set and led.
ReplyDeleteCall the mayor out at a council meeting ?
Delete7:39 Is right. We need to know and communicate what is going on so we can be ready and vigilant. Siloam had some cars broken into recently, and we communicated and kept an eye out for each other. Whoever is doing it better be very careful because there are a lot of eyes watching. The reason the bad neighborhoods continue to be bad is because no one cares what's going on around them. Indifference is the enemy of good people.
ReplyDeleteAsk the deputies how they feel about Lewis, all show, legend in his own mind. How is the crime picture overall in the county, take alook, they mix the numbers so no one agency looks bad. Lewis is never around and baker is an empty suit scared something is going to happen. Wake up wicomico county.
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you run for Sheriff and beat him? Just keep hiding behind your keyboard.
DeleteLooking back I regret not taking my parents request after getting out of military and going into local law enforcement. I guarantee I would have run everytime the sheriffs job became available I guarantee there wouldn't be the little clicks and a sheriff that is too busy seeking his five minutes of fame in talk radio or going out and fulfilling his little narcassistic agenda. USMC style department and policies

ReplyDeleteAs Trump said...elections are rigged. Especially starting at the bottom of the barrel. It makes no difference who you want in office, there are a select few that run this town just like other towns. They pick their golden boy or girl and get behind the loser so they can give that loser his or her marching orders. I keep promising myself not to vote again, but keep breaking my promise. I thought Joe A was the best mayoral candidate due to experience, but again "they" had others plans. Those plans are always to benefit the certain few and not the minions. Trump was the exception, thank the Lord.
Everyone calm down, MSP on scene. They will have in solved in no time. Mark my words. When in a mess, you call the best.
ReplyDeleteYeah MSP would write there own mom a speeding Ticket.
DeleteJoe I want to report a crime. I just saw a midget on one of the Harleys the Sheriff's office has. It He was wearing a leather jacket. Oh sorry folks it was just Mikey. Do not forget to armor all the tires and the seat !!!!
ReplyDeleteSurprised it was reported, and someone asks why should crime be made known to the community. Ummmmmm so the citizens of the community can stay safe, and not live with a false sense of security. Wow, what a dumb thing to say...... Salisbury needs some investigative reporters for our sorry news stations. If your on 6-8 times a day, make it worthwhile.
ReplyDeleteLet's take a look at the 4 murders in Salisbury in the last 2 years... there's a lesson on how to avoid getting shot: DONT SELL DRUGS. Pretty simple.
ReplyDeleteHow can this happen?
ReplyDeleteWe have a new brand and logoed city vehicles and predictive policing software! And Jake has said again and again that there is not a crime issue.
I smell fake news. Or should that be "Jake news"?
Jake WILL BE a 1 term pt Mayor.
DeleteNo offense to anyone stuck living there but that whole area,Baker Street especially,is a crime infested shithole and has been for as long as I can remember.Drugs, robberies and multiple murders on that street.Raze the whole damn block and put up barbed wire and huts.Huts would be more liveable than any of the slumlord owned rooming houses and apartment houses on Baker!
ReplyDeleteAsk the police chief y she isnt having it patrolled?
Delete2:24 Don't you know that 'those that can't do - govern'? It's the antithesis of the Trump phenom
ReplyDeleteno 228, that can't happen, those beautiful homes are owned by council members and their buds. they must stay, they need that rent money
ReplyDeleteSalisbury has gone from Bedford Falls to Pottersville. Yet our cupcake mayor still fannies around waving a stupid PowerPoint screaming downtown revitalization. Here's a hint Day old chum, clean up the crime in your little city and then talk revitalizing. Until you clean up the crime all else is just puff n' stuff BS. 🤔
ReplyDeleteLearned it from the X pt cupcake mayor.
DeleteJoe, I hope you repost this story at week's end and continie to invite comments.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very real and growing problem for our home. Mayor Day has, as yet, failed to publically recognize and acknowledge the problem. His refusal to address the problem in turn offers not an ounce of solution.
The public should demand it. Community, business, political and religious leaders need to take a stand and open the eyes of this yoing, inexperienced and frieghtened neophyte mayor. We need mature, experienced, capable, politically willed leadership - now!
@ 11:53 It's been so long since this area had that kind of leadership, people have forgottenhow to recognize it.
ReplyDeleteThis used to be a great place to live and even work!
Make the Mayor a PT ONE TIME, please
PT1X = Make Salisbury/Wicomico great again!

Obviously Bob Culver doesn't have any balls! That 911 center falls under his authority!
What volunteers? There is a " volunteer" station down the road but good luck getting anybody to respond.

I seriously doubt that. Those stupid Democrats and silly Snowflakes will vote him back in. Plus who wants the freaking job at $25,000 year. Why do you think Jake is using the Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Salisbury Committee to say that the Job needs a full time salary!
I've got an idea, get rid of the City Administration, the Assistant City Adminstrator, the City Clerk, the PIO positions and several of the secretaries in the Mayors Office before we start thinking "Full Time Mayor" salary!

I don't even waste my time, breath or energy referring to this clown as "mayor." All you Lemmings are doing is stroking his ego. He wouldn't make a pimple on a real mayors ass!

Ok what is "PT1X = Make Salisbury/Wicomico great again!"???
I'am going to on my cape and get to be a crime buster.
ReplyDeleteThe mayor and police department are limited in protecting the public when the assailants are black because they will be called racist by the media. Just the way it is.
ReplyDeleteAgree with 9:48.
ReplyDeleteDon't call him "Mayor" until he starts acting like one.
And please, please don't return him to office when we have a chance to replace him.
gotta make the heel sqweel or wheel sqweek or something like that to get the grease!
Deletelmao at 10:40, if you want the best and want to clean up salisbury then you would have to call the marines in! they would fix the problem but then all the libs would be crying! just imagine what salisbury would be like if the gangs, thugs, dealers and slumlords were all removed from our midst!
ReplyDeletePT1x is a start
ReplyDeleteIf this mayor doesn't make some changes and changes fast he will be a one term mayor. New year, let's see if he does anything to start it off right. Wishful thinking I'm sure. Time to step down Barbs. Woman up and leave.
ReplyDeletePART TIME ONE TIME! JAKEY
ReplyDeleteIf the national elections demonstrated anything it is that We The People still have some say.
ReplyDeleteIf the Mayor ignores the people trounce him out of office and give someone new an equally short leash.
Well all the back room politics and good ol boy agendas has finally caught up to salisbury. The bottom line is all the deals made through the mayor's office and certain contractors instead of directing resources to really clean up the city. And then you have council president Cannon who provides bare minimum slumlord housing in the area. This family has ripped off the tax payers for decades and this type of low standard housing needs to be shut down

ReplyDeleteThe Salisbury Mayor is an example of what is happening to America. The men have become so feminized that they don't know how to lead.
ReplyDeleteWe even have a woman as Police Chief! Isn't that perhaps the ONE EXAMPLE of a career that should be a man? Geez We are talking about PROTECTING the public. Shouldn't a man be one doing the protecting? Really?
A little common sense would go a long way.
Jake day jim ireton
ReplyDeleteClueless millinials.
Lots of complaining about these guys while you people do nothing to help the problem.
ReplyDelete@12:12 are you serious?? What exactly do you suggest we do as citizens?? Can we start doing our own street patrols?? Can we arm ourselves to confront all the problems?? I didn't think so
ReplyDeleteGov hogan wont allow it.
Delete11:29 Please go back to your cave and stay there for another 100 years.
ReplyDeleteJake Day: Butt Crime is down in Salisbury. I'm the Mare.
ReplyDeleteJim Ireton: Butt crime is down in Salisbury. Ask Chief Duncan, Mike Lewis and Matt Maciarello. We worked on this together to show crime is down when it really isn't.
F••• Jake Day, Bob Culver, Bob Cannon and the whole bunch of self absorbed crooked ass leaders that you people seem to keep electing to be your so called leaders. You need soneone with some balls to get aggressive with the street thug element that controls your city streets these days
ReplyDelete@1225. Its just the same thing with all people. Always complaining about it. Move elsewhere, still the same problem. Your whinning and complaining isnt helping. How bout you run the police force or you be the mayor. See what you can do to better Salisbury.
ReplyDelete@1:02 you're an absolute jackass. You know as well as anybody an outsider just doesn't go into salisbury and takeover the mayors office or police chief. You have to first bow down to the little inner circle and get their approval first and reassure them that you will do as told and for that I would never be allowed the opportunity
ReplyDeleteMe thinks the public's frustration that these leaders refuse to even meaningfully engage in so much as a reality based disscussion of these issues (bc they feel it threathens their fifedom) comes off as negativity. These people lack the maturity of responsibility let alone the capability to address and remedy them
ReplyDelete@1:51.. now you name call along with your whinning. Now it all makes sense. You are a part of the problem. Well done.
ReplyDeleteSee how many show up on the 9th at 6pm to ask what the mayor is going to do about these issues. I'm sure not many. You want to make a change. You want things to start right direction gather as many as possible and put Mayor on the spot along with the entire city council and ask why they won't make a change.
ReplyDeleteJoe, you should post a reminder the day before as well as the morning of
ReplyDeleteWhy should Joe have to motivate and "remind" you. If it's important to you, put it on your calendar on your phone and it will remind you. This society is so coddled
DeleteBecause they pay me $ 25,000 a year to do this and I don't want to lose this part time job!
DeleteIt will only get worse for Jake and City Council unless they do something NOW........And I'm sure no one will show up and question anyone on the 9th. That's why Jake and City Council continue to do what they want and are not held accountable. It's because no one will question them or call them out.
ReplyDelete
