Here's one that I can't find an answer to:
When an outgoing president leaves the White House, does he take the bedding with him, as in sheets, pillows, etc,, as well as mattresses and box springs of the bed? Or the whole bed and all of the stuff?
Frankly, I think it should be auctioned or part of a lottery for American bidders. After all, it's the property of the people, and who wouldn't want a set of sheets that the prez and his wife slept on?

ReplyDeleteWhat typically happens, is that the outgoing President(and Governorships), they purchase those items at steep discounts to original purchase price. Like O'Malley did.
ReplyDeleteI saw it on one of the talk shows that the matresses are changed so I would assume all the beding but I think that stuff is thrown out But I don't see why the out going family couldn't keep it. Of course they can't do what Hillary did and steal a lot of old historical furniture which she had to bring back and I actually don't think she brought it all back.
ReplyDeleteburn that stuff, lots of bed bugs
ReplyDeleteIf you're Bill. and Hillary you pack it with the silverware.
ReplyDeleteSome furniture is bought by the Natl Park Service, which stays at the WH. Just ask the Clintons who stole some of it and had to return it. And they were told it was to stay put. They didn't care.
ReplyDeleteHuh, who thinks about this stuff?
ReplyDeletedepends on who the president is, sometimes monica gets the bedding and sometimes al Sharpton does
ReplyDeleteI sure as heck don't want it. As much as they steal while in office, they can have it.
ReplyDeleteHey, these aren't Elvis's sheets.
ReplyDeletea little bit of idolatry don't ya think?
