This is CNN: David Gergen Attacks ‘Clinton Cash’ While Network Refuses to Ask Hillary About Scandals

CNN has gone from refusing to ask Hillary Clinton a direct question about the millions of dollars that flowed from foreign governments to the Clinton Foundation while she was Secretary of State — as detailed in Breitbart Senior Editor at Large Peter Schweizer’s book Clinton Cash — to attacking Schweizer and disparaging the book’s research without naming sources.

It’s been 14 months since New York Times Pulitzer Prize–winning investigative journalist Jo Becker’s explosive article, “Cash Flowed to Clinton Foundation Amid Russian Uranium Deal,” was published. In that time, not only has CNN failed to ask Hillary Clinton about her role in the State Department’s approval of the transfer of 20% of U.S. uranium to the Russian government while nine investors in the deal donated $145 million to the Clinton Foundation, the cable news network has also trotted out its senior political analyst and former Counselor to Bill Clinton David Gergen to attack Clinton Cash.

“I was really surprised he learned as heavily as he did upon the Schweizer book, Clinton Cash—that book has been basically discredited,” Gergen said Wednesday on CNN, responding to presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump’s speech on Hillary Clinton. “Other news organizations have looked at [the book] and said [Schweizer] has no evidence, he has no evidence that shows money given by donors to the Clinton Foundation then resulted in actions by the State Department that favored those donors.”

Dem who opposed welfare fraud measure indicted – for food stamp fraud

An Arizona Democratic lawmaker who once voted against welfare fraud protections in her state has been indicted on felony charges of defrauding the food stamp program.

According to the indictment unsealed earlier this week, state Rep. Cecilia Velasquez was charged with three felony counts: unlawful use of food stamps, fraudulent schemes and practices, and theft.

The Arizona Department of Economic Security began investigating Velasquez in 2014. According to the Arizona DES, Velasquez fraudulently used $1,726 worth of food stamps between 2013 and 2015.

This past February, Velasquez had voted against a bill aimed at giving the same state agency stronger anti-fraud tools – a program that could have quickly detected her alleged fraudulent activity.

Arizona state Rep. Anthony Kern, who sponsored the House bill, called the indictment “sad.”

60 Years Together

60 Years together

Their three kids, all successful, agreed to a Sunday dinner in their honor.
"Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad," gushed Son No. 1. 'Sorry I'm running late. I had an emergency at the hospital with a patient, you know how it is, and I didn't have time to get you a gift." "Not to worry," said the father. "Important thing is we're all together today."
Son No. 2 arrived. "You and Mom look great, Dad. I just flew in from Montreal between depositions and didn't have time to shop for you. “It’s nothing," said the father. "We're glad you were able to come."
Just then the daughter arrived. "Hello and happy anniversary! Sorry, but my boss is sending me out of town and I was really busy packing so I didn't have time to get you anything."
After they had finished dessert, the father said, "There's something your mother and I have wanted to tell you for a long time. You see, we were really poor, but we managed to send each of you to college.
Through the years your mother and I knew we loved each other very much, but we just never found the time to get married."
The three children gasped and said,
"WHAT? You mean we're bastards?"
"Yep", said the father. "Cheap ones, too . . .

State Department reveals Hillary Clinton received $500K worth of jewelry from Saudi king

Foreign diplomacy doesn’t always resolve world-class problems, but it sure does rake in the swag.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was given a half-million bucks worth of diamond and ruby jewelry by Saudi Arabian King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz and received $58,000 worth of bling from Brunei.

The lavish gifts were among a treasure trove of keepsakes bestowed upon U.S. leaders in 2012, the State Department disclosed Thursday.

Russian President Vladimir Putin gave Clinton a $560 bottle of cognac, while President Obama received an autographed basketball from Chinese President Xi Jiping and a 41-inch saber from Mongolia.

DRUNK ILLEGAL ALIEN KILLS TWO PEDESTRIANS, AGES 10 AND 16

JEFFERSONTOWN, KY – A Louisville man was arrested early Wednesday morning and charged with murder after police said he killed two juveniles who were walking in Jeffersontown late Tuesday night, court records show.

Juan Carlos Ortega-Santos, 26, of the 2600 block of El Patio Place, is accused of killing a 16-year-old female and a 10-year-old female after hitting them with his car near Taylorsville Road and Farrish Drive around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest citation released Wednesday.

Police found Ortega-Santos in the driver’s seat of his vehicle after responding to a report of an injury accident, as well as three juveniles with injuries.

An investigation revealed that Ortega-Santos was driving northbound on Taylorsville Road when he veered into the bicycle lane, where a group of four juveniles was standing, police said. Two of the four juveniles were struck by the vehicle.

Alena Clay, 10, was pronounced dead at the scene, the citation said. Tyeisha Lacy, 16, was transported to Kosair’s Children’s Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

VICTORY: UC Irvine Republicans Ban Overturned Following Backlash

UC Irvine have restored the rights of the College Republicans to host events and access space on campus.

This overturns an earlier decision by the university, reported by Breitbart earlier in the week, to prevent the Republicans from accessing space on campus for a full academic year after campus adminstrators learned of their plans to invite senior editor Milo Yiannopoulos to speak on campus a second time.

In a letter to Ariana Rowlands, President of the UCI Republicans, the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs said that the ban had been lifted pending appeal:

College Republicans at UCI

Dear Ms. Rowlands and the Authorized Signers of the College Republicans at UCI,

I am contacting you on behalf of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. As a follow-up to my letter sent yesterday, I want to share with you that the revocation of your privileges to access space on campus through UCI Student Center & Event Services has been withdrawn pending the final outcome of your appeal. At this time, your ability to access space on campus has been restored.

As mentioned in the June 22 letter, the vice chancellor invites you to submit your appeal by July 1. We look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Edgar Dormitorio

Chief of Staff
Student Affairs

This u-turn by UCI’s administration comes after a massive backlash from conservatives and liberals both on campus and off. In addition to scathing reports from conservative and libertarian media, the President of the Holyoke College Republicans, Kassy Dillon, slammed UCI for their “insult to every College Republican across the country” in an op-ed for Breitbart.

Extraordinarily, even left-wingers on campus came out in support of their rivals’ right to free speech.

Clinton's State Dept. calendar missing scores of entries

An Associated Press review of the official calendar Hillary Clinton kept as secretary of state identified at least 75 meetings with longtime political donors, loyalists, Clinton Foundation contributors and corporate and other outside interests that were not recorded or were listed without the names of those she met.

The missing entries raise new questions about how Clinton and her inner circle handled government records documenting her State Department tenure -- in this case, why the official chronology of her four-year term does not closely mirror other more detailed records of her daily meetings.

At a time when Clinton's private email system is under scrutiny by an FBI criminal investigation, the calendar omissions reinforce concerns that she sought to eliminate the "risk of the personal being accessible" -- as she wrote in an email exchange that she failed to turn over to the Obama administration but was subsequently uncovered in a top aide's inbox.

The AP found the calendar omissions by comparing the 1,500-page historical record of Clinton's daily activities as secretary of state with separate planning schedules often supplied to Clinton by aides in advance of each day's events.

Informal Uber Probe Finds Many Drivers Not Licensed In Md.

OCEAN CITY — Since the first Ocean City Uber vehicle appeared on the app-based ride service last May, there has been an ongoing debate about how or if Uber should be held to the same standards as traditional taxi cabs.

Last week, the Maryland Public Service Commission met with resort officials to try and explain how the city could enforce state regulations that focus on Transportation Network Companies (TNCs) like Uber and Lyft. While state regulations do consider TNC’s “common carriers,” the state also requires drivers to obtain a PSC license before working for Uber. In addition, local law enforcement agencies were assured that Title 13 of the law would allow local jurisdictions to enforce violations of local laws by Uber drivers in addition to the mandated complaint to the PSC about TNC vehicles that must be filed by the department.

Still, the main bit of concern that seems to be hanging in the balance is whether the rules and regulations will have any impact on what some in the taxi cab industry have called a “wild wild west” landscape on the city streets.

“What’s going to stop a guy from coming down to Ocean City from New Jersey or Pennsylvania and just turning on the app and picking people up in Ocean City all weekend?,” questioned Taxi Taxi owner Ralph DeAngelus. “They are coming into our town and just picking people up, making money that they take back to their own communities, and no one is stopping them.”

Brexit: Why The Globalists Lost

There’s panic in the skyscrapers. A popular revolution against globalism is underway, and Britain has struck the first blow.

To the dismay of political, financial, and media elites, the country has chosen to put identity and sovereignty above a plus-one-or-minus-one change in GDP, and vote to leave the hated European Union. As with the USSR, the attempt to superimpose a manufactured civic identity over proud nation-states with rich and complex histories has run against the grain of human nature. The elites, so wrapped up in statecraft and economics, never paused to consider basic human psychology.

It’s not just Britain, you see. The revolution against globalism is, well, global. Britain may be leading the charge, but insurgents and rebels from D.C to Berlin are also hard at work tormenting their elitist overlords. Fired up by Britain’s example, eurosceptics across the continent are now demanding their own referendums. It’s a Berlin Wall moment.

The unelectable and unaccountable bureaucrats in Brussels must be pissing themselves right now. They are losing one of the biggest crutches for a fragile alliance of countries that can’t pay their bills. (Fortunately, they still have the power to unilaterally grant themselves a monthly budget of 2,000 euros for trouser cleaning.)

Curing Our Coast Series Dives Into Recovery; Two Men Share Their Stories, Both Involve Gaining New Identities

OCEAN CITY — While it’s one thing to accept that heroin has become a difficult problem in this region, it’s much harder for the average person to understand the long journey that former addicts must embark on to both get and stay sober.

The “one day at a time” mantra that almost every addict has uttered at one time or another can often be looked at as cliché or somewhat simple, but when you sit down and talk with a former addict about restoring the damaged brain chemistry that heroin inflicted or repairing the all the damage that their addiction levied on their families and friends, you start to see the sheer size of the proverbial hole that addicts often find themselves in.

Yet, while it’s easy to look at the growing numbers of overdose deaths or addiction cases and be alarmed by the statistics, the trickier and more nuanced narrative is the one that exists for the addicts who are taking the steps toward sobriety.

Trump: America has Chance to ‘reject rule by global elite’

Trump on Brexit: "Basically, they took back their county”

Presidential candidate Donald Trump on Friday congratulated the UK for voting to assert its independence from the European Union, and encouraged the American people in November to also assert their independence from the “global elite.”
Following the British vote to exit the EU, Trump said the election results marked a shift toward more nationalistic tendencies.
“Come November, the American people will have the chance to re-declare their independence,” the Trump campaign said in a statement. “Americans will have a chance to vote for trade, immigration and foreign policies that put our citizens first. They will have the chance to reject today’s rule by the global elite, and to embrace real change that delivers a government of, by and for the people.”
“I hope America is watching, it will soon be time to believe in America again.”

Ocean City examines new federal drone regs

Days after the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rolled out a series of new regulations on remote control aircraft, Ocean City officials are weighing how to keep the skies relatively drone-free.

Ocean City Municipal Airport officials and the police are working to understand the new regulations that were announced by the FAA last Tuesday, but at the moment, there’s little the city can do in terms of enforcement.

“We cannot give citations or make arrests strictly for unsafe drone use at this time,” Police Public Affairs Specialist Lindsay Richard said. “We are enforcing the FAA safety regulations by reporting the incident to the FAA.”

Before the new rules were revealed — they go into effect in August — drones weighing less than 55 pounds purchased after Dec. 21, 2015 must be registered with the FAA before operating in national air space. Registration costs $5 and drones must be operated by someone older than 13 years old.

Obama Invites 18.7 Million Immigrants to Avoid Oath of Allegiance, Pledge to Defend America

It’s not only illegal aliens who are escaping enforcement of the nation’s immigration laws.

Under the Obama administration’s expansive interpretation of executive authority, legal immigrants seeking citizenship through the nation’s Naturalization process are now exempt from a key part of the Oath of Allegiance.

Immigrants seeking to become citizens no longer have to pledge to “bear arms on behalf of the United States.” They can opt out of that part of the Oath. Nor do they have to cite any specific religious belief that forbids them to perform military service.

According to the Naturalization Fact Sheet on the US Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) website, In the fiscal year ending June 30, 2015, the nation welcomed 729,995 Legal Permanent Residents into full citizenship.

Brexit: Britain Votes for Trump over Hillary, Obama

British voters chose to “leave” the European Union on Thursday, defying the polls — and President Barack Obama, who had urged Britain to “remain” in the EU. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had also urged Britain to stay in the EU. Only Donald Trump had backed the campaign to leave.

Republican strategists had panned Trump’s decision to travel to the UK in the midst of campaign turmoil, and in the wake of his blistering attack on Hillary Clinton earlier this week.

Now, however, it looks like a risk that paid off handsomely, in the currency of foreign policy credibility.

Obama’s advice may have pushed some voters to “leave.” In April, he warned British voters they would be at the “back of the queue” in trade with the U.S. if they left the EU. Some, like Andrew Roberts, took offense, writing in the Wall Street Journal:

Rioter Sentenced To 15 Years For Building Explosive Device

A Baltimore man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for making a destructive device during last year's riots and, separately, for a shooting during a drug deal.

U.S. District Judge J. Frederick Motz sentenced Donta Betts, 20, pursuant to an April plea deal. In that agreement, he admitted to his participation in looting at the CVS Pharmacy at 2509 Pennsylvania Ave. on April 27, 2015. By 5:44 p.m. that day, rioters put propane cylinders and charcoal briquettes near the CVS entrance. Betts admitted he set a roll of toilet paper on fire and put it on top of the propane and charcoal, then squirted lighter fluid on top of it. He was seen doing this in photos published by local and national media. He then fled before an explosion there sent large metal fragments toward bystanders.

“Donta Betts engaged in arson, looting, assault and other mayhem during the Baltimore riots,” U.S. Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein said in a statement. He threw rocks at the police near Mondawmin Mall; tried to destroy police cars; stole from a pharmacy, a liquor store and a shoe store; and set off a homemade bomb. Ten weeks later, he tried to murder a woman over a $20 drug dispute, then he conspired to get her to sign a false affidavit. We caught him only because police and prosecutors spent many hours reviewing video and audio recordings. It may sound like a story arc from a TV series, but it is real life in Baltimore.”

Subject: Haiti REFUSED to Take Him Back

An illegal immigrant who stabbed a young Connecticut woman to death after completing a 15-year sentence for murder couldn’t be deported by the U.S. government because his homeland, which receives billions in aid from Uncle Sam, refused (three times) to take him back!

So federal authorities released the violent criminal, a Haitian national, and didn’t even bother tracking his whereabouts, allowing him to commit yet another heinous crime.

Now, a year after an innocent woman was viciously butchered to death in her own apartment, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is getting a bit of a spanking from its watchdog for failing to do its job. It’s a sad old story, but this one is extra special because the DHS agency, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), responsible for deporting the murderous thug (Jean Jacques) claims Haiti simply refused to take him—on three different occasions. In fact, Jacques was listed as a passenger on three flights to Haiti but the Haitian government refused to repatriate him. U.S. authorities followed the orders of a famously corrupt, third-world country that gets billions in “humanitarian” aid from American taxpayers and Jacques was released to kill again.

As unbelievable as this may sound, it’s the somber reality of an agency created after 9/11 to keep the nation safe. A few years after coming to the U.S. in the early 1990s Jacques went on a crime spree and was convicted of attempted murder and illegally possessing a gun. He was sentenced to 20 years but got out after serving 15 and was jailed again for violating the terms of his parole before getting released for good in January of 2015. Six months later he stabbed 25-year-old Casey Chadwick to death in Norwich, a city of about 40,000 residents. Connecticut has long protected illegal immigrants with sanctuary policies and even offers them special drivers’ licenses, but the gruesome crime ignited fury and the state’s congressional delegation—all Democrats and avid defenders of sanctuary measures—demanded that the DHS Inspector General conduct an investigation.

The DHS watchdog reluctantly put it on its lengthy list of “ongoing projects” earlier this year and the findings were made public in a scathing reportissued this month.

'Brexit' will impact Maryland at some point, experts say

TOWSON, Md. —"Brexit" will affect Maryland's economy, but the state will fare far better than some other states, especially those that rely on manufacturing, economic experts said.

"I was disappointed with the outcome. I think that U.S. interests of our allies in Europe, it would have been stronger to have a united Europe to work out its problems with Great Britain as part of the EU. Having said that, this was a decision made by the people of England. We respect their judgment, and our close personal friendship and ties and strategic alliance will remain strong," said U.S. Sen. Ben Cardin, D-Maryland.

"For Maryland, it's not the end of the world, but it will have some impact at some point," said Daraius Irani, chief economist at the Regional Economic Studies Institute at Towson University.

Irani said there are two main areas of concern, the first being with the devaluing of the pound, it will cost more to export goods, which will affect Baltimore's port and manufacturers.

Pruden: The bad moon rising over Hillary

Hillary Clinton won’t be able to say she didn’t see the bad moon rising. Donald Trump gave her a blistering introduction this week to Presidential Politics 102, which differs in a remarkable way from Politics 101, which she encountered in her first attempt in 2008 and before that as the managing partner in Bubba’s two campaigns.

Whatever she learned from Bubba didn’t take. He was a master at covering his tracks and playing the rube when forced to, with a Huck Finn grin and country charm: “Aw, whatcha gonna do with a good ol’ boy like me?” He got away with murder, and the goobers in the cheap seats loved him for it.

But Hillary is a different kind of Clinton. Bubba was in fact an actual good ol’ boy, a product of the unlikely Hot Springs casino culture that thrived among the hardshell Baptists and teetotaling Methodists, presided over by a mayor who paraded down the main street of the town he owned behind a brace of black and white horses he called Scotch and Soda. Bubba could get by with anything if he was respectful of the code he didn’t have to obey.

Hillary spent a term in Arkansas, which she despised and finally did everyone the favor of leaving. She was the Yankee lady only after the money. Bubba didn’t have anything against the money but all he really wanted were women — tall ones, short ones, blonde and brunette pastries occasionally washed down by a tall chocolate soda. And of course a political campaign, which Bubba played with the obsession that some men apply to golf or the horses.

Like the correct feminist that she is, Hillary spurns gallantry and the manners wrought by the gentle breeding prized by Southerners (sometimes honored only in the breech), but she expects the deference and the courtesy alien to her nonetheless. Donald Trump obviously understands this and is determined to give her the rough and ribald ride she is not prepared for.

In a “major address” this week he gave her the preview of the wrath to come, calling her “a world-class liar” who collected cash by the tub full when she was the secretary of State pretending to look out for the nation’s interests. “She gets rich,” he said, “by making you poor.”

He called her “the most corrupt person ever to run for president,” recognized as exaggeration and embroidery by anyone with a passing acquaintance with rude and rowdy frontier politics, but it had the ring of truth to anyone who has been reading the newspapers or watching cable television over the past two or three decades. The Clintons themselves wrote the book on Clinton corruption.

Worcester Endorses Heroin Coordinator Position

SNOW HILL — The Worcester County Commissioners agreed this week the county’s “all hands on deck” approach to the troubling proliferation of heroin needs at least one new set of hands.

The county will now wait for official approval from the Governor’s Office of Crime Control and Prevention on a grant-funded Heroin Coordinator position, which will work alongside the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office and focus primarily on processing all of the data that’s been collected in the recent battle against opiate and heroin related cases in Worcester.

“We have an epidemic in this county,” said Commissioner Diana Purnell. “We need all the help we can get.”

Purnell made the motion to approve the grant application to the state, which will create the full-time position in the county.

Several elected officials also penned their support, including Senator Jim Mathias, Delegate Mary Beth Carozza, and Worcester County State’s Attorney Beau Oglesby.

Trump: 'I Only Want to Admit People Who Share Our Values and Love Our People'

(CNSNews.com) - Republican Donald Trump drew a sharp contrast between his own policies and those of Hillary Clinton on Wednesday, saying he would restrict immigration to people who "share our values," while she wants to "bring in people who believe women should be enslaved and gays should be put to death."

"Perhaps the most terrifying thing about Hillary Clinton's foreign policy is that she refuses to acknowledge the threat posed by radical Islam. In fact, Hillary Clinton supports a radical 550 percent increase in Syrian refugees coming into the United States, and that's an increase over President Obama's already high number.

"Under her plan, we would admit hundred of thousands of refugees from the most dangerous countries on earth with no way to screen who they are, what they are, what they believe, where they come from. Already, hundreds of recent immigrants and their children have been convicted of terrorist activity inside the United States."

Gallup: 3.9% of U.S. Adults Are LGBT, and 0.4% of U.S. Adults Are Married to a Same-Sex Spouse

(CNSNews.com) - The proportion of same-sex, cohabiting couples who are married has increased from 38 percent to 49 percent in the year since the U.S. Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage nationwide, but more than half (51 percent) of same-sex, cohabiting couples are not married, according to a new Gallup poll.

Gallup estimates that approximately 123,000 same-sex marriages have taken place since the June 26, 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges decision.

The same survey estimates that 3.9 perent of U.S. adults are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender, and 0.4 percent of U.S. adults are married to a same-sex spouse.

"These figures can be used to estimate there are approximately 981,000 U.S. adults in a same-sex marriage, and thus, 491,000 same-sex marriages in the U.S. That latter estimate is up from roughly 368,000 a year ago," the survey said.

The results are based on Gallup Daily tracking interviews conducted throughout 2015 and 2016.

County Approves Deputies’ Off-Duty Security Work In OC

SNOW HILL – In spite of reservations expressed by county leaders, the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office will continue to offer security services to a handful of area businesses.

The Worcester County Commissioners voted 5-2 to approve Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreements with three resort area businesses on Tuesday. The approval came after several commissioners questioned the longtime practice of having deputies spend their time off working security details.

“Should we be in the security business?” Commissioner Merrill Lockfaw said.

The Worcester County Sheriff’s Office presented MOUs with Seacrets, the Casino at Ocean Downs and Purnell Properties (which owns Spinnaker Motel, Sun and Fun Motel and the Thunderbird Motel) for approval. The agreements outline the arrangement that allows for extra sheriff’s office patrols of the properties as long as the property owners pay a $75 per hour rate for each deputy.

Democrats Fueled By ‘Anti-gay’ Chick-fil-A During Sit-in

When the House Democrats occupied the floor of that august body Wednesday and Thursday in the wake of an anti-gay hate crime, they apparently were supporting anti-gay chicken sandwiches.

According to footage caught by TMZ, Democrats accepted a massive shipment of Chick-fil-A just outside the Capitol. “Is this all for us?” said one woman, apparently a staffer, as she pushed one of two loaded carts onto the pavement.

Had the food been KFC, Boston Market, or even a non-chicken outlet like PapaJohn’s or Subway, nobody’s eyes would be raised. Bu this is Chick-fil-A, prompting the TMZ video page to title the clip “Gun Control Protest Fueled by Ironic Takeout.”

Chick-fil-A has been the target of liberal activists for years over comments made by founder Dan Cathy about gay marriage and over the company’s contributions to social-conservative organizations such as Focus on the Family.

It also maintains a chain-wide policy of closing on Sundays, a form of Christian Sabbath observance that once was normal for businesses.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio called for a boycott of the “anti-gay” chain this spring as it ventured into the city. The Southern Poverty Law Center also has taken aim at Chick-fil-A and gay activists have tried to stop the franchise from opening stores on college campuses. The hashtag “#ChickFilhAte” is common on Twitter.

Loretta Lynch, Black Lives Matter Blame Intolerance, Not Islamic Terrorism, For Orlando Massacre

(CNSNews.com) -- U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch made no mention of radical Islam in her remarks about the June 12 massacre at the Pulse gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida on Tuesday, instead blaming “hatred and intolerance” in American society for the nation's deadliest mass shooting.

In a 9-1-1 call to Orlando Police, shooter Omar Mateen - a 29-year-old Muslim who killed 49 people and wounded 53 others - described himself as an “Islamic soldier” and said he had pledged allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

But the transcripts of Mateen’s calls during the shooting spree, which Lynch released to the public on Monday morning, were missing his references to Islam, and the portion of the call where Mateen pledged allegiance to ISIS was edited out.

However, after a public outcry, the full transcripts were released by the FBI late Monday afternoon.

Lynch made no specific mention of Mateen’s reference to the radical Islamic terrorist group and said investigators may never pinpoint a single motive for the bloody attack, although she did refer to the shooting as "clearly an act of terror and an act of hate."

She added that "our most effective response to terror and hatred is compassion, unity and love."

“The message of Orlando that I have seen today – and what the American people have seen in the wake of this horrific assault – is a message of determination to remove hatred and intolerance from our midst...,” Lynch said.

Nearly Half of Released Criminal Aliens Became Repeat Offenders

Say what? Another agency caught duping Americans? Shocking, we know, but that’s standard procedure under this administration. According to a new report from the Federation for American Immigration Reform, “Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) records … show that the agency grossly misrepresented — by almost tenfold — the number of subsequent offenses committed by criminal aliens it released from custody onto the streets in FY 2014.”

This obviously wasn’t just some rounding error. ICE claims that it decided to release 30,588 criminal aliens in FY 2014, of which 1,423 became repeat offenders. That’s bad enough, but not nearly as bad as the actual number of repeat offenders — 13,288. Put another way, a whopping 43% of released criminals recommitted crimes. Even worse, says FAIR, “It is important to note that not all criminal charges result in convictions. Thus, the number of offenses committed by criminal aliens ICE turned loose is likely significantly greater.” Indeed, and how many other criminals simply haven’t been caught yet?

These weren’t just aliens with petty offenses, either. FAIR says, “The list of convictions for offenses committed by criminals ICE did not deem worthy of deportation in FY 2014 includes: homicide, kidnapping, assault, sexual assault, drunk driving, and other offenses.”

Violent Felons Are Trying to Get Their Gun Rights Back in Virginia

Terry McAuliffe's executive action on voting rights eased process for felons to get guns

As congressional Democrats spent the week pressing for the passage of new gun control legislation, violent felons in Virginia were able to take steps towards having their right to own a firearm restored thanks to action taken by the state’s Democratic Gov. Terry McAuliffe.

When McAuliffe restored the voting rights for 206,000 felons in a move critics say was politically motivated, he also opened the door for those felons to have their right to own a firearm restored.

Previously, felons would individually have to petition the executive branch to have their civil rights restored. Petitioners would have to fill out an application to the secretary of the commonwealth and submit a letter to the governor explaining why they deserve to have their rights restored.

Decisions were made on a case-by-case basis. This was abandoned when McAuliffe restored the rights for both violent and nonviolent felons, eliminating the need for any application.

Included in the civil rights McAuliffe granted through his sweeping order is the ability to petition a local circuit court judge to restore firearms rights. The secretary of the commonwealth warned the courts that this would cause a spike in gun rights requests.

Among the individuals who have already taken advantage of the change is Rodell Callahan, a 36-year-old man who has a long history of violent behavior.

Brexit Comes to America: Ryan Challenger Mounts Immigration Billboard

Following last night’s historic Brexit vote, House Speaker Paul Ryan’s primary challenger, Wisconsin businessman Paul Nehlen, seems to have taken a page from the playbook of the U.K. Independence Party (UKIP) with the launch of a new billboard campaign.

On Friday morning, Nehlen’s campaign went live with a new billboard in Ryan’s hometown of Janesville, Wisconsin that is reminiscent of the distinctive UKIP-style campaign.

The ad reads: “Radical Islam Kills Americans. Vote YES for Immigration Control. Vote NO for Paul Ryan.”

The billboard then directs viewers to Nehlen’s campaign website, ElectNehlen.com.

UKIP’s national billboard campaign is distinctive for its clear, straight-forward manner of describing the effects of large-scale migration and its impact on workers and Western culture.

Trump nails Clinton: He's in it for country, she's in it for herself

Donald Trump is in the presidential contest for you.

It’s a point many of his supporters consistently bring up to me: Mr. Trump is sacrificing much to run for public office. He has the money, the company, the family, and is of a certain age where it would be easier for him not to run.

Mr. Trump said as much in a speech Wednesday.

“People have asked me why I am running for president. I have built an amazing business that I love and I get to work side by side with my children every day,” he said. “I love what I do, and I am grateful beyond words to the nation that has allowed me to do it. So when people ask me why I am running, I quickly answer: I am running to give back to this country which has been so good to me.”

I choose to believe Mr. Trump and I don’t fault him for how he’s made his fortune. He’s admitted to taking advantage of the debt markets, of politicians and of the media for his own enrichment. For as long as his dealings were legal, I say good for him for getting what he wanted.

Solar Developer’s Tax Abatement Requests Tabled

SNOW HILL – County leaders opted to postpone their decision on a solar developer’s request for a substantial tax abatement in an effort to get more information.

The Worcester County Commissioners agreed to table the tax abatement request from Longview Solar Tuesday as more financial data was gathered. Longview Solar has plans to build facilities in Berlin and Snow Hill and is hoping to secure an 80-percent personal property tax abatement from the county.

“Our focus is to develop the lowest cost solar assets in the U.S. market,” said Byron Crawford of Longview Solar. “That’s what led us to the Eastern Shore.”

Crawford, whose company has done projects throughout the country, said he’d been drawn to the Eastern Shore because it was ideal for solar, with open land, hot summers and lots of sunshine.

“The sunniest places will produce the lowest cost energy,” he said.

Tired Of The Expense Of Living Here" - Californians Continue To Leave State In Droves

When we reported that California tax revenues had missed projections by nearly $1 billion in the first four months of the year, we pointed out that one key driver was that over 250,000 residents left the state between 2013-2014 alone, taking that tax base with them.

It turns out that it's going to get worse before it gets better for California, because as Mercury News reports, state Finance Department statistics show that 61,000 more people have exited California than have moved to the state during a twelve month period ending June 30. The net outward migration was the largest since a net 63,000 people left the state in 2011. "The main factors are housing costs in may parts of the state, including coastal regions of California such as the Bay Area. California has seen negative outward migration to other states for 22 of the last 25 years." Dan Hamilton, director of economics with the Economic Forecasting Center at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks.

"They are tired of the expense of living here. They are tired of the state of California and the endless taxes here. People are getting soaked every time they turn around." said Scott McElfresh, a certified moving consultant.

Sen. Jeff Sessions On Brexit: 'Now It's America's Turn'

The British people, our special friends and allies, deserve our full support following their sovereign and considered decision to leave the European Union.

The people spoke from their hearts and with conviction. They considered deep and critical issues never discussed by the international elites. Their strong vote arose not out of fear and pique but out of love for country and pride of place. Their experience with a distant government in Brussels was given a long and fair chance to succeed. In the end, however, they concluded that the costs outweighed the benefits. Often, Britain makes changes that precede U. S. action. The Thatcher movement preceded the Reagan revolution. Both were victories for the people over outdated and corrupt forces. Both were achieved against powerful and determined establishment forces. Both resulted in historic and positive periods in their nation’s history.

Now it’s our time. The period of the nation state has not ended. No far off global government or union can command the loyalty of a people like their own country. Vague unions have no ability to call on the people to sacrifice for the common good. They seem incapable of making decisions and when they do, they have difficulty executing the decision.

Far better to celebrate the wonder and proven worth of good nation states and to work hard to use that foundation to build harmonious political and trading relations among the nations. This is the best basis for peace and prosperity.
