Superstar ‘80s musician George Michael died Sunday at the age of 53, according to his publicist.
The singer of such songs as “Careless Whisper” and “Last Christmas,” the BBC reported, had died over Christmas weekend at his home at Goring in the English county of Oxfordshire.
“It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peacefully at home over the Christmas period. The family would ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult and emotional time. There will be no further comment at this stage,” publicist Connie Filippello said in a statement issued to multiple news outlets.
There was no immediate word on the cause of death, though Mr. Michael had a history of health problems, including a 2011 bout with pneumonia that put him in a coma and resulted in a tracheotomy.

ReplyDeleteHIV/AIDS
ReplyDelete6:55 no one died from AIDS anymore especially someone with massive resources like Michael. He had struggled with drugs especially in the past few years. More likely the drugs took a toll on his heart and cause was a heart attack the means being chronic heart disease caused by drug use.
ReplyDelete4:15 PM PT -- One of Michael's principal reps tell TMZ the singer had not been ill, and had been working on a Showtime movie of his life that was set to air in England next March.

HIV/AIDS Period.
ReplyDeleteRead online he has been bedridden with a very bad cold from AIDS complications, and his heart finely gave out.
ReplyDeleteThis will allow the family to say he died of Heart Failure, instead of AIDS.
Of course, when your heart stops it is heart failure, but what caused the heart to stop, the AIDS infection.
Bunch of arm chair physicians who also believe smoking don't cause cancer and you can mix roundup with your bare hands.
ReplyDeleteThank God we have all these doctors commenting!
ReplyDeleteHe was addicted to sedatives. It's beyond foolish to even consider he died from AIDS/HIV unless you are completely clueless. As stated above NO ONE dies from that anymore. Catch up-Educate yourselves before making foolish comments. Besides if he had died of AIDS you just don't die. Again Catch UP and Educate yourselves. It's a long slow painful death where you become emaciated and bed ridden. Even those with the slighted bit of medical knowledge should know this. He died because of the toll the sedatives had taken on his heart. He also was a habitual marijuana user. While marijuana on it's own rarely causes death when used w/sedatives (and some other drugs) it can and does amplify the effects and the combination can and does have unforeseen results including death.
ReplyDeleteI loved his music. Especially liked Careless Whisper, and Last Christmas. It was his lifestyle, like Freddie Mercury that came back to bite him. Great Artist, and great music!
ReplyDeleteRecent pics showed he was overweight which is often a sign of being heavily medicated to sedatives.
