CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD (WUSA9) - A special student advisory team that will deal with cultural conflicts is being formed at Central High School after a cafeteria brawl Friday that pitted African-American students against Latino students.
The brawl was caught on video and resulted in three students being treated at a hospital for minor injuries. No charges have been filed.
Many African-American students who spoke to WUSA9 said race played no role in the brawl. However, a reluctant Latino student said he sometimes feels intimidated at the school.
According to a robo-call and email being sent to Central parents Tuesday night, the student advisory team will work with Principal Keisha Wallace to help develop a positive school climate while administrators work with the school system’s Diversity Office on further measures. Additional staff will be assigned to monitor lunch hours, the principal announced.

I am sure Keisha will have it all taken care of.
ReplyDeleteSo the minorities can't get along with each other. How will they blame someone else for it?
ReplyDeleteLet this be a lesson to anyone who has a child in public school. You child is not learning anything!! Teachers and staff are too busy keeping the little darlings from killing each other.
ReplyDeleteI'm pulling for the Latino's
ReplyDeleteIt's obviously Whitey's fault. I'll pull for the Latinos as well!
ReplyDeleteVery simply, you want trouble, look to people of color. Statistics prove it. South America, Africa, the Middle East, highest rates of violent crime, lowest literacy rates, the most human rights abuses. It's time the truth be told. People always say the Scandinavian countries are the happiest. Do you wonder why? Look at the demographics of Finland.
ReplyDelete12:01: You may be on to something.
ReplyDeleteI just returned from a 10-day visit with my in-laws that live in a relatively small town - about 3000 people - in Idaho.
I did not see more than a dozen people of color in that town during my entire stay.
They leave their front doors unlocked; they leave their keys in the car in the driveway; the kids play in the streets and the park and are not seen back at home until the street lights come on.
There are four law enforcement officers - total. Crime is non-existent.
A friendly, spotlessly clean town.
What struck me the most is that I thought all this was odd, when in reality it should be the norm.
Is it because of the demographics?
I have to say yes.
no charges filed? there's the problem. should be charged and removed from the school permanently!
ReplyDeleteThe Bloods and the Crips against MS13 that ought to be a real bloody brawl, I can't wait to hear the outcome of that situation.
