Station 7 (Pittsville) has been dispatched to an accident at Sixty Foot Road and Route 50 in the Westbound lanes.
Station 6 and Station 8 have both been requested to send an ambulances and traffic control to the scene.

ReplyDeleteI have no problem with this intersection! I totally fail to understand what the issue is here. I don't make this turn often, but when I do, it has never been a mind bender in my book, just another crossover intersection.

Put dirt on either side of 50 and in the middle. Build a flyover with no entrance/exit to 50. Problem solved.

and she still couldn't see a car coming at her?
I have a cheaper fix. Just close off the intersection. Tear up the asphalt in the median and plant it with wildflowers. Problem solved. Let the people who shouldn't be driving find another way to Pittsville.

that intersection has a bit of an angle to it. if one doesn't align their car correctly the roof/windshield support will cause a blind spot. A vehicle can be in this blind spot and one wouldn't see it until they moved.
They must have drank a glass of that water
ReplyDeleteAs someone who spends a lot of time on the road, I am surprised at the number of people who run red lights. Had I not seen him at the light at Wor-Wic, I would not be here to write this as a pick up would of caught me in the driver door! So a new traffic light is not a guarantee of no accidents at sixty foot road.
