Tantrums!

Thousands of people coast-to-coast took to the streets Wednesday night to protest Donald Trump’s election, disrupting traffic, chanting anti-Trump slogans and some ending up in handcuffs.

From New England to heartland cities like Kansas City and along the West Coast, demonstrators bore flags and effigies of the president-elect, disrupting traffic and declaring that they refused to accept Trump's victory.

Some California cities saw heated tensions over Trump’s election. Thousands of protesters burned a giant papier mache Trump head in Los Angeles and started fires in Oakland intersections.

Los Angeles demonstrators also beat a Trump piñata and sprayed the Los Angeles Times building and news vans with anti-Trump profanity. One protester outside LA City Hall read a sign that simply said "this is very bad."

In Chicago, several thousand people marched through the Loop. They gathered outside Trump Tower, chanting “Not my president!” One resident, Michael Burke, said he believes the president-elect stands to divide the nation and stir up a deep-seated hatred. He added there was a constitutional duty not to accept that outcome.

  1. There is a significant difference between peaceful protest and civil unrest - causing civil unrest because you don't get your way leads to the force of law to bring peace

  3. This is why they riot, this is why their being paid to lead the riots...to cause civil unrest....which will bring martial law, the only card left for them to play.....

  4. Maybe not your personal choice of president, but your president, nonetheless.

  5. We patriotic American that voted for Trump to take our country back and head it in the right direction felt just as bad or worse than you do when Obama won two elections. Then he tried to destroy our great nation by killing the economy, losing millions of American jobs. Forcing Obamacare on us even though more than fifty per cent of we the people were against it. He jammed it down our throats and then if we didn't participate he fined us. So now that we voted in someone to make America great again. You act like a bunch of babies throwing a temper tantrum. Just suck it up baby you lost. In time you will see that a Trump presidency will make our country better and you will be glad he won. Just give him a chance to get things going in the right direction.

  6. How about if those of us who did not like Obama being elected did these things? These people need to grow up, get a job and get with the program!

  7. I heard someone one the other night say that these protesters are only disrupting those that actually voted for HIllary. Doesn't bother the Trump supporters. They are just wasting their time. Ignore them like gnats on a wine glass.
