Baltimore County officials and Tradepoint Atlantic have released a new economic impact study Tradepoint's efforts to redevelop the former Bethlehem Steel site in Sparrows Point.
The study was released Thursday night at a meeting for community leaders hosted by the developer and the county.The study conducted by the Sage Policy Group says the project will create 17,000 direct and indirect jobs creating $1.1 billion in new worker income with an economic impact of $3 billion.
The study also expects the project to create 21,000 construction jobs, as the site is developed through 2025.
Tradepoint Atlantic is developing the 3,100 acres as a manufacturing and commerce hub.
