A Mississippi attorney is suing Popeyes after he said he choked when he had to eat a piece of fried chicken with his hands because a knife wasn’t included in his drive-through order.
Paul Newton Jr., who filed the lawsuit this week, said the only utensil he was given in November 2015 at the Gulfport restaurant was a spork.
The lawsuit stated that because Newton didn’t receive a plastic knife, his only option was to hold the chicken breast with his hands and tear off pieces with his teeth, causing him to choke.

ReplyDeleteFreaking ridiculous!
ReplyDeleteSeveral links are not working, this article and the FL condo article, do not link to the actual article.
ReplyDeleteHowever, who eats fried chicken with a knife? Also, they say you shouldn't feed chicken to pets, they may choke on a jagged bone. We really don't need to have warnings on fried chicken stating, beware of bones.
He will surely lose a lot in court fees, no judge will rule for this idiot.
How are you going to cut chicken with a knife while driving?
Knife in one hand, fork in the other !! How was he going to steer his car ? His knees !!
DeleteIf this ever gets to court, the judge needs to charge him with distracted driving and than fine him and throw the whole lawsuit out.
Or...is this the first time feeding himself fried chicken?
DeleteOr...is it the first time eating fried chicken with his brand new teeth....lol
Chicken is not a knife and spork food unless you buy a whole chicken. Then you may need a fork instead of the spork. Surprised he made it through the meal without dripping the fry ketchup on his shirt. Must have been thick enough to avoid litigation.
ReplyDeleteDid i say "what an idiot" yet?
Didn't Mommy teach him not to bite off more than he could chew?
