Ben Carson's appointment to head the Department of Housing and Urban Development likely would mean trouble for President Obama's new housing diversity rule and would put a noted skeptic of many government anti-poverty programs in control of many of them.
The famed neurosurgeon and former presidential candidate will spend Thanksgiving thinking about the possibility of serving as President-elect Trump's HUD secretary, a spokesman said Wednesday.
If he takes over the agency, many housing advocates will be left to wonder what his agenda is, given that he has no record on housing-related issues.
The guy is a brain surgeon I think he can figure out HUD. Also let's not forget if any democrats question him that is RACIST remember? I like him and he will do a great job at anything.

ReplyDelete9:51 - Forced Diversity causes incompetence in the workplace - the federal government agencies are stellar examples of hiring based on quotas instead of performance and demonstrated potential.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, a huuuuge bunch that said they wouldn't work for the Trump administration will honor their bragging and leave. The taxpayer could see a major reduction in costs with no change in agency performance - these entitlists weren't doing anything anyway!
First thing for Dr Carson to do is to make section 8 housing a duration limited and means tested handout. Multiple generations in subsidized housing is a disincentive to personal responsibility.

I'm with 9:17, he would have been able to be a great President, and I'm sure with his background and attitude, he will be able to serve the U.S. with pride, dignity, and expertise. I look forward to having him in the Cabinet.
