The Yes California Independence Campaign aims to put a referendum on a 2018 ballot that, if passed, would make California an independent country.
Far-fetched as it may sound, the plan started gathering steam after Tuesday night's surprising vote. The movement has an impressive backer in Shervin Pishevar, a well-known angel investor who offered to bankroll the campaign.
"As the sixth largest economy in the world, California is more economically powerful than France and has a population larger than Poland. Point by point, California compares and competes with countries, not just the 49 other states," Yes California wrote in a statement.

ReplyDeleteFool's Errand!
California is supported by federal money , they would be bankrupt the minute they were declared out of our union.
ReplyDeleteLet then go!! Bunch of left wing nut jobs. They screw up the Electoral College awyway. After that, let's figure out a way to get rid of NYC and New Jersey.
ReplyDelete6 07.. I completely agree
ReplyDeleteIf they were able to do this they would flood each state with California voters and repeat then we would be Communist.
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me it wasn't long ago that California was bankrupt and the Federal government had to bail them out. This was caused by a liberal government in California wanting to give welfare and money to illegals. As a result giving away all these freebies to illegals caused them to go bankrupt. You liberals should learn from that. That's how Obama was trying to bankrupt America.
ReplyDeleteFall off into the ocean, secede from the union, same difference. GTFO!
ReplyDeleteWould love to see it! CA is a drain on America.
ReplyDeletelol...heard that the dumb.... in Cal. think they send all their tax money to the rest of the country adn receiving nothing back. lol. right now, i believe the pension system in CA is more than 800 million in debt. that is just indicative of where they are. what a group of sore losers. We are just getting to the end of 8 years of trash in the White House.
ReplyDeleteI do have a solution. We need to submit a change order to the companies building the wall on our southern border. They need to continue it up and around CA and possibly oregon and washington.
What about the 3.2 million who voted Trump living in California?
