BREAKING NEWS: Manslaughter Conviction In Resort Death

Darren Beattie, a 21-year-old from Sparrows Point, was convicted today by a Worcester County Circuit Court jury of manslaughter for his role in the death of Lutherville resident Ryan Shupert in Ocean City last May. After the guilty verdict was read, a pre-sentence investigation was ordered. Beattie is facing a maximum of 10 years and is being held pending sentencing.
