Go after that demon alcohol...meanwhile just around the corner from most of these stores someone is selling herion. Fining store owners brings in money, busting dealers doesn't i guess.

ReplyDeleteI agree.
These are illegal sting operations in which a 20 year 11 month old young lady dons make up and attempts to make a purchase while the LEO sits in the car to watch. Entrapment.
How about a bit of REAL police work?
Have there been any complaints from citizens about a store actually SELLING to underage people?
Is there any evidence a problem with under age purchases EXISTS in the first place?
Bogus.
They sold to a under age person.. illegal...good job.
DeleteYeah, get the alcohol under control so the pot smokers feel safer!!!!!
ReplyDelete5:09 that is why young people turn to drugs for their buzz. Easier to get drugs then alcohol when you are under age. When will people learn. Those who want a buzz will get a buzz no matter what.
ReplyDeleteWaste of time and money. Punish businesses and waste their time so we can wax nostalgic about prohibition. Poor somerset county has out of control meth and heroin but thank goodness teenagers can't get wine coolers. These officers should feel disappointed their skills are wasted hurting business rather than clearing these in peril neighborhoods
ReplyDeleteIf you hang around the pharmacies in Crisfield and Princess Anne and know what to look for,you can see drug deals going down.I went to my local pharmacy last week and a known addict who had just gotten out of jail was sitting there in his car waiting to buy some girls pills. And checking the liquor stores is pointless because minors can pay a local drunk/addict to buy their stuff.I see it all the time.Old alkie buys some booze for them and they give him enough to get a bottle or some heroin. And yes the shore and all its small towns have a huge heroin epidemic.Arrest one dealer, two more take his place to meet the demand.

ReplyDeleteThe stings aren't about catching young people buying alcohol.
The only young people who try to buy alcohol in a store are COPS.
That's a fact.
The cop broke the law before the clerk broke it.
ReplyDeleteThink about that.

Oh? Where did you get that "fact" from?
They keep finding Peaky's in non-compliance for selling alcohol to minors, right? They need to close that place down so the bartenders/waitresses can find someplace else to find their Johns.
