You’ve Been Mispronouncing These Words Your Whole Life

Language is tricky. Not only are there multiple ways to spell the same word, but there are silent letters, emphasis on certain syllables, and basically a bunch of ways to say common everyday words wrong.

After all, everything sounds right in your head until you say it out loud and everyone looks at you funny.

Hopefully this will help you at least a little bit.
Definition: A smoked hot chili pepper used especially in Mexican cooking.
Wrong: Chip – oat – lay
Right: Cheep – oat – lay
