I-Team Obtains Photo Of Freddie Gray's Knife

The 11 News I-Team has obtained photos of the knife that Freddie Gray was carrying on the day Baltimore City police arrested him.

The knife was brought up repeatedly during the trials of the officers charged in Gray's death, but until Monday, a picture was never released.

The knife is the documented reason why city police arrested Gray on April 12, 2015. Neither prosecutors nor the defense introduced it as evidence in the officers' trials.

The knife blade is 3 inches long. According to a product description, it is called an assist knife and is sometimes known as a rescue-style assist knife.

  2. Nationally, 3.5 inches is some sort of "line" of whether it's a utelity piece, or a deadly weapon.

  3. Spring loaded he wasn't allowed to posses it. He then was placed under arrest was put in van and tried to break is own neck. Died later at hospital. His mom go 10 million the city will cost 60 million and the same people are still in charge. This is why I stay away.

  4. So what if he had a knife. Do you want to fight for the governments right to stop you from carrying a knife? That is counter to our ideology.

  5. I have a bigger knife than that on my desk. A freaking pencil can be a deadly weapon. Crap like this makes me wonder how we ever came out of the wilderness alive.

  6. I've carried a Buck 110 on my belt for the last 50 years. I would hope that won't get my neck broken, as I'd have to use something else I now carry.

  7. This type of knife is legal to carry in most of the state but Baltimore city has it's own ordinance and it's not allowed. We are talking a different world there. They used to sell them at the many flea markets throughout the city for like stated very cheap. You can't have that in a city of mostly super predators, the phrase Hillary used for thugs.

  8. It's a lock blade knife that is illegal to conceal on your person. Must be openly carried on a belt to be legal.
