Clinton's lead vanishes in NH as Johnson voters go to Trump

Hillary Clinton's once-strong lead over Donald Trump in New Hampshire has narrowed to just 2 percentage points in the final month before the November election, a new poll shows.

The former secretary of state edges her Republican opponent 44 to 42 percent in the latest Suffolk University/Boston Globe poll of Granite State voters, putting Trump well within the survey's 4.4 percent margin of error.

Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson secures 5 percent support, marking a steep decline from the double-digits levels of support he saw in at least three polls released since early September. Johnson has been ridiculed recently for showing a severe lack of foreign policy knowledge, a flaw that was exposed late last month when he was unable to answer a question about Aleppo, one of the oldest and most war-torn cities in Syria.

  1. New Hampshire voters are getting it. A vote for anyone but Trump is a vote for Hillary.
Vote with your brains, folks, not with moral convictions that take you to a candidate who could garner only a sliver of the vote, regardless of how strong those moral convictions are.
