Not liking the new Acme, stuff piled up in the walk areas near produce. Impossible to get through, hoping this is temporary. Nothing but farm raised salmon for sale. Whole store seems like a step down for us.
I don't like the Acme because I found the store to be dark as opposed to the Giant lighting which made the store seem brighter when you shopped. I also don't care for all the extra displays on the end of every isle and around the produce, the deli, and bakery. It makes it very difficult to navigate up and down the isles when trying to pass other shoppers. It doesn't allow enough room to move. I also don't like the fact that Acme doesn't carry the variety of selections of products like the Giant did. I also don't like the fact that the deli chef is no longer there. He made the best chicken salad, and other dishes. I don't like the fact that Acme doesn't have the gas program that Giant did, that was a real bonus for shopping there.
There seems to be a general feeling of sadness at the store now, familiar faces aren't there, and some of the ones that are left seem afraid to stop and say hello.
Overall, I really loved many of the Giant employees for the last forty years they felt like my family and I truly cared for them. Now, many of the acme folks aren't as kind and seem uncaring and rushed and it doesn't have any warmth.
This is the same kind of Acme that was here many years ago downtown off Main St. I don't find them to be that economic and I will limit my shopping there.
What do you call a man who has lost all his intelligence?
