Wal-Mart: Coke Display Stacked Like Twin Towers Removed

NEW YORK (AP) — Wal-Mart says a display of Coke cans stacked to look like the World Trade Center at a Florida store has been removed and wasn’t meant to be disrespectful near the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attack.

The display was mocked online after a photo was posted on Twitter, and Buzzfeed wrote about it.

The photo showed the World Trade Center towers built with Coke Zero packages. A backdrop of the American flag was made with red regular Coke, silver Diet Coke and blue Sprite.

  1. Man people are way too sensitive about things nowadays. To bad they don't put as much thought into learning how to merge on the highway.

  2. Who the heck finds that offensive?! They're going to sell coke anyway; let some creative employee express how the great majority of Americans feel. WE WILL NEVER FORGET!

  6. Gosh, there is always some kind of drama coming out of the state of Florida. What's wrong with the people there besides their inability to drive a moving vehicle??? I thought stoners were bad, but Florida drivers are so bad. The minute a stoplight turns green and the car in front of them isn't moving, they are blowing the horn full blast. They have the patience of a wart! They don't give you a chance to make sure somebody isn't running the light before they start blowing the horn.

I guess I can see both sides to this story. Perhaps, the person who did the display wasn't around during this terrible time in our history, or maybe it was their way of expressing their grief and encouragement to everyone.

  7. This needed to have a couple of planes included, looks good to the Muslim customers. I would say it would sell out to them.
Is this in OC? I know down there all the shops are now owned and operated by Muslim thugs.

  8. 6:07 Can't comprehend the written word or just can't read. Not sure which one yet.
5:43 is possibly the old fart that drives 55 in the left lane all day long. FL drivers can drive and have 5 lanes in each direction on 95 with vehicles traveling 70 mph in the left and 55 to the far right.
