BRISTOW, Va. (AP) — Posing for pictures is part of every governor’s job. Posing with a can of marijuana — not so much.
But Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe did just that, inadvertently, when he went to greet country music legend Willie Nelson this weekend.
A picture posted on Twitter shows McAuliffe and Nelson, who was performing in Virginia. On the table between them is a can of Willie’s Reserve, Nelson’s brand of marijuana that’s sold in Colorado and Washington. Marijuana possession is illegal in Virginia.

The VA governor is a dumbocrat - they're above the law!
ReplyDeleteAs far as I'm concerned, they're all criminals!
Two Sets of Laws.
ReplyDeleteThe police in Virginia are REGULARLY putting people in prison, in jail, and confiscating their assets over 3 or 4 grams of pot. And bragging about it!
But the Governor poses with a big ol' can of weed right there on the table and it's cool???
Wonder why respect for the law and the police is steadily declining?
How do you think the parents of the kid from Richmond that just got 18 months in jail for possesion of marijuana feel after seeing THAT smiling face sitting next to some marijuana? The good (white) Governor went home for dinner. Their (black) kid is trying not to get raped tonight.
Keep cheering.
Willie Weed claimed to smoke in the White House when under the Clinton Crime Family. Common knowledge if you are near Willie, you are near weed.
ReplyDeleteIts potpourri
ReplyDeleteUnited States government needs to get off their asses and legalize it across the board. But of course we all know that big Pharma, liquor and tobacco companies wont allow it. Its prohibition all over again! the facts are out marijuana is less harmful than Pharmaceuticals and alcohol. in fact it treats allot of the diseases that these booze and pills are used for with less side effects.. wake up!!! Booze and pills kill it's a fact!!! pot does not!!! And the ignorant keep cheering!!
ReplyDeleteSorry, but I don't see any weed in that photo. Can one of you point out where you see cannibas in this photo? What is all the stink about?

ReplyDeleteI agree with you.
It is a miracle plant.
I'll NEVER smoke weed with Willie again!
ReplyDeleteI'd call it clever product placement. A great addition to Willie's advertising and a place on his Me Wall.

ReplyDeleteAlthough good weed stinks, the photo will not have any smell.
Sorry.
