The Revolution started in April, 1775, when the British Regulars marched to Concord/Lexington to confiscate the powder and arms of the Minutemen-Patriots-citizens. This was the famous "Shot Heard Round The World".
This is exactly why our Founding Fathers gave us the Second Amendment.
the Revolution started before Lexington and Concord. Passage of the Stamp Act in 1765 and the Boston Massacre of 1770 probably had more to do in "starting" a revolution than the events in April 1775.
