The Houston Independent School District, which enters the fiscal year with a $95 million deficit, voted last spring to strip the schools of the names of Confederate generals Robert E. Lee, Albert Sidney Johnston and Stonewall Jackson; Confederate President Jefferson Davis; Confederate Postmaster General John H. Reagan and Confederate soldiers Dick Dowling and Sidney Lanier.
“We have a school district that is broke -- without libraries and in desperate need of repair -- yet we’re going to spend $1.2 million to re-name these schools?” said Wayne Dolcefino, president of a communications firm hired by parents and families opposed to the re-naming. “At the end of the day, if we can’t figure out that every penny we have should be spent to prepare our children for the future rather than litigating what people did 150 years ago . . . we’re in trouble.”

It is really the unintended consequences of naming schools after traitors to the United States of America. American's are starting to understand that just like Saddam's statue and the statues of dictators in freed Eastern European nations were pulled down, more of us here see that these people while they should have a place in history they should have no place of honor in our country. Their country, perhaps movement is more correct, was defeated and no longer exists.
What a F*n Shame. These schools were named after true American Heroes and the Democrats have won this war of White Guilt. Now our children will have to go to schools named Hussien Middle School, Barack Elementary School or Obama High. Sad, Sad, Sad!!

Nothing like dumbing down America and making it look like our Southern Heroes were murdering thugs all the while making all black thugs heroes and putting them on a pedestal. The is the Democrat Indoctrination of our schools by rewriting history and Americans are too lazy to do anything about it.
