Disturbing video shows tot trying to wake mom after apparent OD in store
LAWRENCE, Mass. -- Disturbing video showing a toddler trying to revive her unconscious mother after an apparent opiate overdose in a Massachusetts store has gone viral on social media.
Police haven’t released the name of the 36-year-old mother, who is facing child endangerment charges, reports CBS Boston.
The video was captured by a shopper at a Lawrence Family Dollar store Sunday and obtained by police. It shows the 2-year-old girl crying and pulling at her mother’s arm as the woman lies on the floor.
this is becoming so commonplace that the "shock value" has worn off. We are becoming desensitized to overdoses. I don't have the answer but if the heroin/opiod epidemic isn't dealt with its going to have one heck of a trickle down effect on the rest of us. God save us.
It is past time for the American People to inform this government in no uncertain terms that we do not want heroin in our Country. It is in every small town in America. It comes from Afghanistan, where the US Military is in control of the poppy fields. The Military "guards the poppies" so no "drug war lords" can get them. This is outrageous!
The CIA and Military have a long history of running drugs into our Country. There is no way all of this heroin is coming across our borders without the assistance of the military.
