Definitely. But on the other hand, both of ours like to be vacuumed using the hose extension. And it saves a lot of fur from ever hitting the floor.

Our shih tzu gets behind my husband for protection!!!
I thought only cats were scared of vacuum cleaners, and garbage trucks.
Mine just grabs the front of my vacuum in his teeth and tries to drag in away.
