Incident: Obstruct and Hinder.

Narrative: On 15 August 2016 at 9:20 PM, a deputy responded to an address in the 1000 block of Hayes Avenue in an attempt to locate Elizabeth Workman who was the subject of a District Court Bench Warrant. The warrant was issued after Elizabeth violated the terms of her probation in a CDS case. Upon arrival, the deputy was told by her father, Robert Workman that she was not home. Mr. Workman even told the deputy that Elizabeth had not stayed there in several weeks. While speaking with Mr. Workman, the deputy observed an indication that there was someone else inside the residence, even though that was contrary to Mr. Workman’s statements that he was alone. As the deputy was leaving, the deputy was able to glance inside a bedroom window and observed a subject he identified as Elizabeth crawling across the floor in what appeared to be an attempt not to be seen.
The deputy made contact with Mr. Workman again who repeated that he was home alone and that he did not know Elizabeth’s whereabouts. The deputy entered the residence after seeing Elizabeth though the window and took her into custody on the warrant.
The deputy also arrested her father, Robert Workman, for hindering and obstructing. Both Elizabeth and her father were transported to the Central Booking Unit where they were processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following their initial appearances, Elizabeth Workman was detained in the Detention Center without bond while Robert Workman was released on Personal Recognizance.
