Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani condemned overnight riots in Wisconsin and said they were proof that law and order was 'out of control,' while defending the black officer who shot a black man at a traffic stop in Milwaukee.
'Now we have two black men – a black perpetrator running away and a black police officer,' the former mayor said on Fox and Friends Monday.
'What was the black police off supposed to do, wait and get shot and then shoot back? Doesn’t his life matter? Doesn’t the fact that he had to take action in self defense matter?' Giuliani asked.
He then turned to Donald Trump's call for 'law and order' during his presidential campaign.
'Is the new rule I have to get shot first before I shoot back? Of course it isn’t if they can riot over something like this It makes Donald Trump’s point that law and order is out of control in America,' said Giuliani, who during his time in office oversaw a crackdown on serious as well as petty offenses.
