  2. I witnessed the accident. I guy in a white Chevy truck with a topper tried running the red light through the left turn lane at Race Track Rd and Hwy 50. About half of his truck was lodged under the trailer of the semi. I don't think he made it.

    3. 919 did you give a statement to police? Did you help the driver of the pick up truck?

  3. Everyone is in hurry. The usual place they get to faster is the morgue or the ER.

  9. 919 you left the scene of a possible fatal accident and did render aid? I got a feeling police will be looking for you!! Especially since you saw it happen. Wow!

  10. 11:29 we are citizens and not paramedics. It is not my job to "render aid" and anything I do could potentially harm the person more than they are. I am sure 9:19 was not the only person that saw the accident and continued on their way. Over react much? There is no law requiring a person to stop and help.

    1. It's your moral obligation as a human to want to help another human being. You are protected by the Good Samaritan Law incase you render the wrong help or cause further damage. But it's okay you have to live with that on your conscience the rest of your life. Two wrongs don't make a right either. If everyone else felt well no one else is stopping so I don't have our country would go to shit. Oh wait it has already because of people with the same mentality as you.

    1. 1141 why are you trying to bully people with your comments? You're being an ass.

  12. How do you know that they call 911 and report what they saw.

  13. You should not always stop and aid an accident scene unless you are trained to do so

  14. 11:39 actually in the EMS field there is a good Samaritan law

  15. 1141 you shouldn't always render aid at the scene unless you've been trained or like 1139 says you can do more harm than good

    1. Render aid can be telling the police what you saw or comforting family members. Basically just being a good person without being ordered by law to do so.

    1. The pickup truck driver was category 4 but not deceased. He was pinned in.

    2. Category 4 or in ems terms priority 4 means deceased

  17. 919 you didn't SEE what happened!!!

  18. It is believed that driver of pick up had a heart attack while driving.

  19. Its very sad to me that people are talking on here like this. The man in the white truck that passed away was my friends father, he was a good man . He was an awesome father, grandfather and great grandfather. To think that he died alone amd someone could have stopped and held his hand or prayed with him truly saddens me. What if this had been your family.

    1. I could not agree with you more....I Always stop and try to help no matter the out come I would never want my love one to be alone at a time like this so yes everyone that saw this acccident should have stopped and helped no matter what...I would never just drive by and not help... Put yourself in this family's position and ask yourself if you would want your loved one to be alone at a time like this morals or no morals the right thing to do is to stop and see if you can assist in this matter if your EMS or not!!

  20. 9:56 - Totally unnecessary and ugly comment. Joe, why do you allow these nasty comments - no matter how folks feel about the former mayor's ability to do the job, these kinds of remarks are just ugly.
